debt addicts... blaming the victims
![]() |
| heroin addict in Harlem - just lovely... ain't it? |
Latest leftist meme of the week - the TEA party are to blame for the S&P downgrade!
Give me a FREAKING BREAK...
On topic from Wayne Allen Root at Breitbart:
"Only seriously delusional enablers can close their eyes to the fact that Obama and his fellow addicts have spent us to the edge of economic Armageddon, and blindly refuse to see that it is the addicts on Capital Hill who are irresponsible, dangerous, self-destructive, and suicidal. They can’t stop…they want more money…they deny they have a problem…and they think the answer to their addiction is more money, to buy more drugs.
Like all addicts they don’t blame themselves for their addiction, it has to be someone else’s fault. In this case they blame the taxpayers and the Tea Party. It’s our fault because we won’t willing give them more money, to buy more drugs. Just like the crack addict, in their mind the answer to their drug problem is holding up the taxpayers at gunpoint for more money. The addicts are sick. Insane. Delusional. And headed for death.
The only difference between a crack addict and the addicts in D.C., is that the crack addict is suicidal, hurting only himself. Unfortunately, the addiction of Obama and Congress is destroying the American economy and enslaving our children and grandchildren to unimaginable debt for decades to come. This is a murder-suicide.
In the midst of this crisis, madness and economic disaster, the Tea Party has come to the rescue. The Tea Party is trying to save America and put the government in rehab by cutting off the money that feeds the addiction. Like all addicts, Obama’s response, supported by his enablers- the progressive left and the biased leftist media- is to attack and blame the Tea Party."
TIME FOR AN INTERVENTION... time to pull the plug on supplying Washington with their crack... TAXPAYER MONEY!
WAKE UP AMERICA!

Site highlights problems with USA's Public Sector Unions
"Taxpayer-funded employer contributions to public pensions in New York State will rise by billions of dollars in the next few years, threatening to divert scarce resources from other essential public services in the midst of a fiscal crisis, according to a report issued today by the Empire Center for New York State Policy.
The report, “New York’s Exploding Pensions Costs,” forecasts pension funding trends for the New York State and Local Retirement Systems (NYSLRS) and the New York State Teachers Retirement System (NYSTRS), which cover nearly every public employee outside New York City. It also summarizes official reports of funded status and projected costs over the next three years for the New York City Retirement Systems.
Key findings:
• Taxpayer contributions to NYSTRS could more than quadruple, rising from about $900 million as of 2010-11 to about $4.5 billion by 2015-16. The projected increase is equivalent to an annual property tax hike of 3.5 percent a year, well above Governor-elect Andrew Cuomo’s proposed property tax cap.
• State and local employer contributions to NYSLRS will more than double over the next five years, adding nearly $4 billion to annual taxpayer costs even if most opt to convert a portion of their higher pension bills into IOUs that won’t be paid off until the 2020s.
• New York City’s budgeted pension contributions, which already have increased by more than 500 percent ($5.8 billion) in the last decade, are projected to increase at least 20 percent more, or $1.4 billion, in the next three years. "
This craziness is why Americans find representatives willing to fight this monster very popular - like NJ's Chris Christie.

Reparations named "Pigford" to buy black votes?
After a few months of investigations, Breitbart is leading the charge to raise LOTS of questions about "Pigford" and reparations TheWon's regime seems intent to hand out to blacks... to retain future voters?
Mr. Breitbart states:But that will not be the end of the story. The American people deserve a full investigation and accounting.
Today, we’re releasing a report called “The Pigford Shakedown: How the Black Farmers’ Cause Was Hijacked by Politicians, Trial Lawyers & Community Organizers — Leaving Us With a Billion Dollar Tab.”
What have we discovered about Pigford so far?
Treasure troves of information from Lexis and Google. USDA whistleblowers. A former FBI agent who was on the verge of indictments. One of the originally discriminated-against black farmers with the goods. All these people paint a very clear picture of widespread fraud, and can testify to a complex web of bad players, including politicians, trial attorneys and community organizers."
"I stumbled on the Pigford story in my defense of the Tea Party, so it’s a sweet irony that the Pigford story is exactly the kind of mess that makes the Tea Party so necessary. Politicians and trial attorneys bonded together to rip off the taxpayer, and even those farmers that were discriminated against were royally screwed.Let me be clear, our investigation convincingly leads us to believe the USDA practiced discrimination against black farmers. Those wrongs must be rectified. But Pigford is wrought with a grotesque amount of fraud, while the truly aggrieved were mostly left high and dry.
The Pigford tale is about government run amok. It is also an indictment of the American media that is so blinded by ideology that it missed the big story yet again because taking out a political enemy was far more expedient. And furthermore it is why the American people need the Tea Party and new media as a checks and balances on corrupt politicians and their corrupt journalist counterparts."
Get yourself some popcorn and head over to BigGovernment.com and do some reading. Here are a just couple of them:
Black farmer blows the whistle on the black farmer settlements
Black Farmer Mega-Settlement Clears Way for Discrimination Claims by Women, Hispanics
Pigford: It’s the Fraud, Stupid (Not Race)
Former Secretary of Agriculture: More Claims Than Farmers; No One Fired at USDA: Something Just Doesn’t Add Up!
Pigford: Obama’s Down Payment on the 2012 Rural South Vote
The guys at HillBuzz.org call this "the scandal of the century". Think "Whitewater" which brought down President Nixon. People involved should be imprisoned.
Yes.That.Big.
Why?
Buzzers state "On Wednesday, Obama is really going to sign Black Reparations into law and hand out that money to black scammers who will be instrumental in Obama’s re-election. This is a clear and obvious political payout, where the president of the United States is looting the US Treasury and taking taxpayer money to bribe black people he needs to drum up votes for him in two years."
This all suuuure sounds ILLEGAL to ME! ... Get your seatbelts on, ride gonna get bumpy

Kudlow is bullish on the TEA revolution
Bull market (up)? or Bear market (down)? The American markets often reflect the mood or confidence of business investors.
Larry Kudlow thinks the TEA party revolution means a bullish market:
"In fact, until recently, I’ve been advising people to take profits in the stock market, rather than buy-and-hold. You should keep your money before the Obama IRS takes it from you.
But following the tea-party primary victories in Delaware, New York, and New Hampshire this week, I’m once again getting energized.
Free-market capitalism is on the comeback trail. That’s one of the key tea-party messages. And make no mistake about it: The free-market power of the tea-party political revolt is totally bullish for stocks and the economy.
In short, this is a revolution.
The political elites in both parties don’t get it. Nor do the mainstream media. But the tea-party movement is stopping Obamanomics dead in its tracks. And it will overturn the Keynesian big-government planning effort now in full force in our nation’s capital. The tea parties are Reaganism reincarnate, and then some.
It’s all there in the Contract from America: Limited government, individual liberty, economic freedom. Defund Obamacare. No tax-and-nationalize energy scheme. Stop the tax hikes and move to a flat-tax system. No special favors and subsidies. No crony capitalism.
Oh, and let me underscore the tea-party revolt against runaway government spending and debt-creation. No TARP. No stimulus. No Obamacare. No Bailout Nation for GM, Fannie, Freddie, and AIG. Instead of federal spending running up to 25, 26, or 27 percent of GDP, look for our new tea-party representatives to move it back to 20 percent of the economy, or even less.
There’s a great story in Friday’s Wall Street Journal called “Tea Party’s Rise Gives Business Pause.” The thrust is that big businesses and their K Street lobbyists are worried that special tax breaks and subsidies for Wall Street, timber, fast food, road building, energy, farming, autos (such as cash for clunkers for the car lobby), and housing (including homebuyer tax credits for the realtor and homebuilder lobbies) will be blown away by the new tea-party representatives. Well, they should be worried."

No 'summer of recovery' Joe as USA faces epic fall failure
MORE stimulus for 'infrastructure' planned... discussed at Breitbart. Umm... so more roads fixes the job shortage, huh?
From AT, EPIC FALL FAILURE begins (for ... Dems at the polls at least Nov 2nd!):
Sep 7th from Heritage:
"But spending is just one side of President Obama’s economic prescription for the country. Not only is he advocating another $50 billion in spending on top of the $814 billion in economic stimulus spending he has wasted so far, he is also advocating for a $921 billion tax hike set to take effect this January 1, 2011.
The administration wants us to believe that this massive tax hike will have no effect on our economic recovery. But that is just not so.
Raising taxes on work and investment would mean less work and less investment and can be regarded only as an overtly hostile anti-jobs policy.
That is just one of the myths exposed by Heritage analyst JD Fosters’ new paper: Obama Tax Hikes Defended by Myths and Straw Man Arguments.
Foster also details:
•Myth: Small businesses would be only marginally impacted by higher taxes rates.
Fact: Successful, growing, hiring small businesses are especially targeted by higher tax rates. Many Americans report business income from hobbies, sideline businesses, etc., thus inflating the number of so-called “small businesses.” True small businesses have employees and machinery, offer goods and services widely, and are far fewer in number. Yet they earn most of the small business income that would be subject to the higher rates.
•Myth: Tax rates matter little in the long run.
Fact: Tax rates have their most powerful effects on long-run growth and wages. The effects of tax changes take time to manifest fully because major business investments typically require extended evaluation, planning, and implementation. Similarly, while workers respond quickly to changes in tax rates, a full response takes time as they adjust their spending and budgets accordingly.
•Myth: The country cannot afford not to raise taxes.
Fact: The problem is spending, not revenues. The country cannot afford to let current spending levels continue. Taxes as a share of the economy will soon exceed the historical average. The current and projected unsustainable deficits are due to Obama’s spending surge, not a shortage of revenue."

Ziganto on 10 reasons leftist Faux Feminism is dead
If you think you're a USA 'feminist', you're probably a 'Femisogynist' and your faux 'feminism' is dead. Why?
Reasons expertly outlined in an EXCELLENT article from Lori Ziganto by and Jenn Q. Public explains exactly why in: 10 reasons 2010 isn't the year of the Lefty Woman
1. The Self-Destruction of Anti-Semitic Feminist Icon Helen Thomas
2. Tina Brown: ‘Wingnut’ Women A Blow To Feminism
"some people don’t marginalize themselves into gender boxes only. Unlike the Left, who seeks to diminish women by making them perpetual victims and who wants women to focus on busy work issues only. That whole empowerment deal? It’s impossible to be empowered if one is shrouded in victimization."
"Faux Feminism, like that espoused by Femisogynists, is dead. People like Tina Brown are merely throwing themselves on the casket, caterwauling in a desperate bid to keep it alive."
3. “Twilight: Eclipse” Makes Its Senate Debut
"At long last, the Twihards have a senator who speaks for them, a forward thinking female role model who cares about the rights of sparkly vampire Americans. Finally there’s a legislator who understands that when ladies get together, it’s all Twilight, baby! Constitutional issues can wait! Sadly, Kagan wasn’t prepared to answer and the giggling Klobuchar declined to press the issue. It’s a safe bet the D after Sen. Klobuchar’s name will “accidentally” get dropped from the history books when this incident is recorded."
4. The Left, Including ‘Feminists’ Totally Fine with Iran Gaining Seat on United Nations Women’s Rights Commission
5. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter’s Bathroom Negotiations on Health Care Reform
6. American Academy of Pediatrics Proposes Genital “Nicking” – Women on the Left Grossly Rationalize It As Cultural Sensitivity
7. Unethical Political Hack (Kagan) Lauded as Fourth Female Supreme Court Justice in History
"This horrifyingly unethical woman now holds one of the single most powerful government positions in the country, and is likely to remain there for decades. And instead of admitting her dishonest political meddling, the Left is busy throwing pink ticker tape parades because our newest justice has two X chromosomes and pees sitting down. But hey, at least she’s a woman!"
8. Hillary Clinton and her Anti-Woman State Department
"The Left’s misogynistic tendencies were further on display in Hillary Clinton’s State Department with their utter disregard over the potential stoning to death of Sakineh Mohammadie Ashtiani, who was sentenced to death by stoning in Iran." (well Hillary has 'grave concerns' though...!)
9. Gaffe Master Martha Coakley: Sore Loser or Victim of the Patriarchy?
10. Leftist Women Suggesting Reverse-Suffrage and Asking for Pre-Vote ‘Skirt Checks’
"GOP women are proving that we have moved beyond gender politics. Conservatives and Republicans understand that true empowerment and equality is predicated on freedom, including free thinking, and not on perpetual victimhood."
Read the rest here.
So much for the great work done by suffragettes and the historical, noble fight to get women the vote... "you've come a long way, baby" and now you have to jump off the cliff into irrelevancy.

Mid year budget? hey Feds: Just.Stop.Spending
Brenda Elliott at RBO asks "Who’s Going to Pay for the Government the Radical Left Dreams Of?"
Apparently on July 23, 2010 the White House Office of Management and Budget released the annual six-month budget review for Fiscal Year 2011.
From "A Mid-Year Update on the President’s Plan to Spend, and Then Tax, in Epic Proportions" at Economics21.org by James C. Capretta July 26, 2010:
"The numbers are eye-popping. The budget deficit in 2010 is expected to set a record at $1.471 trillion – or 10% of GDP. In 2011, the administration projects the deficit will again top $1.4 trillion. From 2010 to 2020, the Obama budget plan would run up a cumulative deficit of nearly $10 trillion, and the nation’s debt would reach $18.5 trillion in 2020, up from $5.8 trillion at the end of 2008.
Even more ominous for the (putative) president is the economic forecast. It shows unemployment remaining at over 8% through the 2012 presidential re-election campaign, despite the assumption that relatively normal economic growth would have been underway for more than two years by then.
The primary problem is quite plainly out of control federal spending."
Brenda at RBO suggests "Of course there is a simple answer. Stop spending"
That is WAY too simple, eh? Capretta says:
"If the federal government managed to return to the per-household spending level of the Reagan administration, the budget would be balanced by 2012 without any tax hikes. Too ambitious? Just returning to the per-household spending levels that existed before the current recession would balance the budget by 2019.
The out-of-control radicals in Congress are not going to do that. It’s not the plan. They’ve been waiting decades for this moment. They’re certainly not going to let the creation of a crisis slip through their collective fingers. Richard Cloward is smiling."
Also at Economics21.org, check out the "Promises vs Reality" of "Obamacare":
Promise #1: The new health law will not increase the federal budget deficit over the next twenty years, and will in fact cut the budget deficit over that time frame.
Reality: The claim of deficit reduction is based on accounting gimmicks, double-counting, budgetary sleight of hand, and implausible assumptions. CBO is required to estimate legislation as it is presented to it, smoke and mirrors and all. But a more careful examination of the legislation shows that it will greatly increase the budgetary exposure of the federal government, and thus almost certainly increase the budget deficit, not reduce it
===
Promise #2: The cost-curve will get bent downward, and families will save $2500 in annual premiums.
Reality: All evidence indicates that the new health law will increase overall health care costs, increase premiums, and increase tax burdens for the vast majority of Americans. In short, costs will go up collectively and for most households, not down.
===
Promise #3: The new health law lets people keep the coverage they have today if they like it.
Reality: The Reality: Millions of Americans will lose the coverage they have today involuntarily.
===
Promise #4: It's not a government takeover.
Reality: The new health law hands over to the federal government immense new powers, powers that will, over time, mean all important decisions about the organization and financing of American health care will need to meet the approval of federal agencies and bureaucrats
===
Promise #5: The new health law will improve, not hurt, the quality of American health care.
Reality: The new health law finances a massive health entitlement expansion with deeper price controls in federally-run insurance. The result will be a surge in demand coupled with much a more restricted number of willing suppliers of medical services.
===
Promise #6: The new health law will not raise taxes on the middle class.
Reality: The new health law includes at least a dozen new taxes that will directly or indirectly hit middle class families.

Learn from history: FDR wrong. Dems wrong. Paul Ryan right.
Guess what: history shows FDR and "the new deal" was all wrong, too. And now the same damn mistakes from the 1930s are being repeated as Obamster-regime tries to push America towards the European socialist-marxist model. A good Feb 2009 post from Instapunk explains FDRs failures well - with YouTube clips even:
"It's simply false that FDR was universally admired and that there was never any doubt his policies had rescued the American economy from the Great Depression. The truth is, there's a growing school of revisionist thought which asserts that FDR almost single-handedly kept the United States in a depression that could have been cured with a lot less government interference, no matter how much he is idolized by people who swallowed the MSM idolatry of the time."
This week, the brilliant Rush Limbaugh warns Republicans the Democrats have probably figured out they will lose HUGE in November (if rampant voting fraud by Dems isn't successful): so Dems will try to blame Repubs for the Dem MESS they have created since 2007:
"The Republicans have been blocking and Democrats have been doing great things, but they're not getting any credit for it. No. The reason they're not getting any credit is because nobody likes anything that they're doing. So back to the scenario: All of the excrement hits the fan starting in January, coinciding with the Republicans taking control of the House, maybe even the Senate, and being sworn in, and Obama proposes all these fixes. The debt commission, by the way, can't do anything on its own. The debt commission can make recommendations, but then they have to be enacted into law via legislation or executive order or what have you. So let's say the Republicans say, "We're not gonna do all this. It's gonna destroy what's left the country." There's Obama saying, "See? See? I appointed this commission. I got people that really care about this! We gotta fix this country. I inherited a mess, and the same people from whom I inherited the mess are now in charge over in the House of Representatives."
And you can bet that the media chorus would just line up and follow the same thing. I mean, I think the Democrats, Obama, might actually hope the Democrats lose so big that they might as well go for broke and get everything they can during the lame duck session and then with the help of our one-party media, all the things rammed through in the lame duck Congress will be blamed on the Republicans -- and if not that, when things go to hell in a handbasket starting in 2011..."
Elected and current Republicans better talk up Paul Ryan's plans LOUDLY and often - Roadmap for America's future:

Growing USA gubmint does not = economic recovery
Stats from the National Review:"Since the beginning of the recession (roughly January 2008), some 7.9 million jobs were lost in the private sector while 590,000 jobs were gained in the public one. And since the passage of the stimulus bill (February 2009), over 2.6 million private jobs were lost, but the government workforce grew by 400,000."
Check out the MISERY INDEX showing BHO's complete failure. Unemployment rates are high. This does not equal economic recovery.
From the Free Enterprise Nation: the stimulus has only stimulated GOVERNMENT jobs.
"However, many say that the stimulus is ONLY stimulating government programs and workers, not the revenue generating private sector.
The Wall street Journal reported in February that out of $179 billion in stimulus funds, $112 billion had been used for education, Medicaid, unemployment and other state services like food stamps. According to the WSJ, 325,000 of the jobs “saved or created” were teachers and other school staff members.
So the question stands: When are we going to stop stimulating the government and its workers and start stimulating the taxpayers who pay for them?"
Government DOES NOT MAKE ANY MONEY.
Government is paid for BY TAXPAYERS.
How do you really get the economy to recover? Dem/marxist/communist/socialist/collectivist strategies HAVE NEVER HAVE WORKED.
SO, WHAT HAS WORKED IN THE PAST? From Rush:
"By the way, Vice President Bite Me also said over the weekend that we will not recover all the jobs lost. So here we are, the summer of failure and surrender, Vice President Bite Me, no possibility to restore the eight million jobs lost in the Great Recession. Now, to put things in perspective, and before blasting Bite Me, let's look back at the Reagan recovery, remembering that Reagan inherited a far worse economy than did Obama. Reagan inherited near 20% inflation, my friends, interest rates and an unemployment rate over 7%. He didn't complain, he went to work, was a spectacular success. Nearly 20 million jobs were created under Reagan. Bite Me says there's no possibility to restore eight million jobs with Obama at the helm.
Reagan's policies of lowering taxes, spending restraint, curbs on regulation, fueled a sustained economic boom lasting 92 months. The Reagan boom created 18 and a half million new net jobs. Unemployment fell from 7.1% in 1980 to 5.3% in 1989. Inflation was 4.4% when Reagan left office. It was around 20% when he took office. To dispel another myth, Reagan did not cut taxes on the backs of the poor. On the contrary, between 1980 and '92 the average income tax rate for the bottom fifth of all wage earners fell by a whopping 263%. This is at allbusiness.com."
Look to the PAST to see what has worked and what hasn't. Growing the government DOES NOT EQUAL economic recovery.

I will ring the bell of freedom...Rise Up
“I regard myself as a soldier…a soldier of peace” – Ghandi
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal. They are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. That among these are life, liberty…the pursuit of happiness.” – The Declaration of Independence
Lookin’ at millions under a circus tent
Watchin’ a jackass chase a dumb pachyderm
Oh what a show!
Tappin’ on any shoulder that I can find
Of anyone on there who might change their mind
It’s time to go.
To the real world outside with those pirate ships
The drunken sailors with dirty lips
That rule the night
Shoutin’ don’t be afraid of those wicked men
There’s more of us than there are of them
Come join the fight!
Rise up and be counted
Take your part in the solution
Linking arm in arm, to arms, to arms
Lower your guns and raise your voices
Join the peaceful revolution
Shout I’m mad as hell
and I will ring the bell of freedom
Ride with me from Boston to Phili to LA
With reason come marching
With knowledge come drumming
Let everyone hear you
Each soul that is near you
The British are coming! the British are coming!
We built a house of sticks a hall of parlor tricks
But we blame it all on our politics
Oh what a shame!
Truth is the cancer ain’t just in the head
Half the body’s nearly dead
We’re all to blame
Time to pledge no more standing on one thin leg
Lack of principle’s a powder-keg
And we can’t wait
If we just say what we mean mean what we say
Take back the power we gave away
It’s not too late – Grab your tea and follow me
Rise up and be counted
Take your part in the solution
Linking arm in arm with words as arms
Lower your guns and raise your voices
Join the peaceful revolution
Have you an ear to hear, an eye that sees us
We come in the Spirit of Martin, of Ghandi, of Jesus
Holding fast to the words with the power that frees us
Rise up. Make your choices
Choose the peaceful revolution
Sell what you have to sell so the devil can tell
Then let them raise their hell
And we will ring the bell of freedom
The bell of freedom
The bell of freedom

Truth about BHO-Dem regime's tax LIES
Great post at Full Metal Patriot today discussing BHO & the DemoCommie regime's TAX LIES:
"Why would we thank him for raising our taxes?
(Note: Asterisks in the Scripd Doc - and noted below - indicate the tax increases on families earning less than $250,000 a year)
Once again, with Democrats in charge, we're seeing a host of tax hikes. Not only that, but the Obama administration is floating the idea of a new 5% "value-added" tax, too.
I think everyone owes Rep. Joe Wilson a big apology; not only was he right about President Obama's healthcare "reforms" covering illegal immigrants, he was right that Obama is a liar."

Only 53% of US households pay fed tax - what if they revolt?
A relatively tiny group of people is writing the check for the entire global order. What proportion of them would need to figure out the game's no longer worth it to bring the whole system crashing down?"
With trillions of ADDITIONAL debt being voted in by Democrats with one horrible policy after another, will America experience a "tax revolt" soon? Some of the experts seem to think a tax revolt could happen per new doco "an inconvenient tax".
