Ryan explains repealing Oscare "fiscal train wreck" SAVES money
Yes I call the freedom-killing, over-expensive monstrosity called "Obama care" (or the health care "bill") Oscare. Because it is scary and MUST be repealed. The new Republican leaders in the House are voting to do JUST that.
Americans did NOT WANT THIS BILL last year and they STILL do NOT want it.

Paul Ryan describes Health Care Law as a “Fiscal Train Wreck”:

Misleading claims on its deficit impact exclude the $115 billion needed to implement the law and over $500 billion in double-counting Social Security payroll taxes, CLASS Act premiums, and Medicare reductions. The law was written to measure 10 years of tax increases to offset 6 years of new spending. The Democrats stripped costly provisions that were included in initial score, and enacted them separately to add hundreds of billions of dollars to the deficit. Hiding spending does not reduce spending. There is no question that the creation of a trillion dollar open-ended entitlement is a fiscal train wreck."

Learn from history: FDR wrong. Dems wrong. Paul Ryan right.
Paul Ryan (R - Wisconsin) is correct in describing the current mess the always wrong Democrats have gotten America into... again:
Guess what: history shows FDR and "the new deal" was all wrong, too. And now the same damn mistakes from the 1930s are being repeated as Obamster-regime tries to push America towards the European socialist-marxist model. A good Feb 2009 post from Instapunk explains FDRs failures well - with YouTube clips even:
"It's simply false that FDR was universally admired and that there was never any doubt his policies had rescued the American economy from the Great Depression. The truth is, there's a growing school of revisionist thought which asserts that FDR almost single-handedly kept the United States in a depression that could have been cured with a lot less government interference, no matter how much he is idolized by people who swallowed the MSM idolatry of the time."
This week, the brilliant Rush Limbaugh warns Republicans the Democrats have probably figured out they will lose HUGE in November (if rampant voting fraud by Dems isn't successful): so Dems will try to blame Repubs for the Dem MESS they have created since 2007:
"The Republicans have been blocking and Democrats have been doing great things, but they're not getting any credit for it. No. The reason they're not getting any credit is because nobody likes anything that they're doing. So back to the scenario: All of the excrement hits the fan starting in January, coinciding with the Republicans taking control of the House, maybe even the Senate, and being sworn in, and Obama proposes all these fixes. The debt commission, by the way, can't do anything on its own. The debt commission can make recommendations, but then they have to be enacted into law via legislation or executive order or what have you. So let's say the Republicans say, "We're not gonna do all this. It's gonna destroy what's left the country." There's Obama saying, "See? See? I appointed this commission. I got people that really care about this! We gotta fix this country. I inherited a mess, and the same people from whom I inherited the mess are now in charge over in the House of Representatives."
And you can bet that the media chorus would just line up and follow the same thing. I mean, I think the Democrats, Obama, might actually hope the Democrats lose so big that they might as well go for broke and get everything they can during the lame duck session and then with the help of our one-party media, all the things rammed through in the lame duck Congress will be blamed on the Republicans -- and if not that, when things go to hell in a handbasket starting in 2011..."

Wise and sounding presidential is Paul Ryan (R-WI)
Congressman Paul Ryan (R-WI) is awesome. His insightful words, tenacity, smarts, courage and leadership in these dark days of America is the kind of leadership America needs.
Stating he is "one of the most articulate, intelligent conservative voices in Washington, DC. ", Red State thinks Mr. Ryan speaks wise words of a man who should be president:
"His voting record is impeccable. His performance in the so-called “Health Care Summit” was superb. And this past week, Congressman Ryan delivered an absolutely stunning speech to the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs. This is not your normal, run-of-the-mill talk. This address made Barack Obama sound like a seventh-grade speech student. "
Too early to pick America's next president? Well, Mr. Ryan may go down that road some day if not 2012 perhaps 2016. First, we have to save America so there will be future elections!
From Real Clear Politics Mr. Ryan discusses repealing and replacing O-scare:
"Self-government stands or falls on integrity, not only in those who represent you but in the enactment of law. This indecency soiled our freedom and embarrassed the democracy we promote in other nations. And this may not be the last of it. To enact its transformative agenda, this leadership employs the Machiavellian saying that the end justifies the means. America was born in a revolution against that whole idea. Soon it will be the norm.
The Constitution and the consent of the people are all that stand between limited and unlimited government power. Zealous ideologues with the best of intentions brush aside the limits on power in order to get whatever they believe is good for the people ... no matter what the people believe. Our system of freedom can survive an assault, but it won't survive if the people are frightened, or angry, or asleep at the switch. A great Democrat, President Andrew Jackson, once said: "eternal vigilance by the people is the price of liberty." We can thank our current leaders at least for this: they have awakened the nation to the danger of taking self-government for granted.
Congress is not only enacting a social welfare state agenda over the objections of the people. It is failing to address the problems that threaten to engulf our country, principally economic decline and entitlement-driven debt crisis. The coming election will be a referendum on the agenda of our current leadership. Either it will give them a mandate that says "more of the same," or it will end the abuse of power and put America back on the path of growth and freedom.
Supposing the American people use their referendum in November to elect a new majority, what would the next Congress do?
The first order of business will be "repeal and replace." We will work to repeal federalized Health Care and replace it with a robust, competitive open market in health care that puts patients and their doctors at the center - not employers, not insurers, and not government agents. This takes at least two elections, and we must show our perseverance.
A new Congress will then turn to the great problem of our stagnant economy and the debt tsunami bearing down on us. The days of pretending not to notice are over. The next Congress will understand this threat and act after transparent deliberation and real debate."

Tracking the fast & furious O-scare crap sandwich

Geepers, creepers, the blogosphere is ON FIRE this week with opinions, oped, commentaries flying fast and furious. Bottom line? Obumbles and Pee-Lousy's current "health care" bill (bills? drafts?) "as is" are unconstitutional. (Psssst, it is NOT true "health care" reform, it is BHO's plan to take over 1/6 of the American free market).
Since it is NOT a true "reform" plan, let's just call it "O-scare" for now.
O-scare is a 2000+ plan based on RIGGED and dishonest numbers from Dan Mitchell at BigGovernment.

Signing O-scare into law "inevitable" is a just a LEFTIST PLOY and tactic. From Paul Ryan (WI) via Connie Hair at Human Events:
“We still think they’re 10 down,” Ryan said. “There’s a common strategy being employed especially these days called the inevitability strategy. Make your team think you’re winning and if you’re going to vote against the team then it’s your fault for bringing the team down. Get the opposition on defense. Get the American people who are upset about this demoralized so that they don’t pick up the phone and call their Congressman. … The inevitability strategy is to try to win through bluffing. They are bluffing. They don’t have the votes. And they’ve got [until Sunday] to muscle this thing through until the President gets on a plane to Indonesia.”
Today, putative POTUS hisself told FOX news interviewer Brett Baier "I don’t spend a lot of time worrying about what the procedural rules are in the House or Senate." Guess "school house rock" didn't play in Indonesia... pity.
Much chatter about Nancy Pee-Lousy wants the enact (use? deem?) the bill into law without voting for it using an obscure "Slaughter Rule". RedState has a good recap of consequences of slaughtering the vote.
Rush Limbaugh (and many conservative bloggers) inspired at least 500,000 (yep 1/2 a million!) people to call congress to complain this week (nice!).
TEA party protestors chant "Kill the bill, kill the bill" at a Washington rallty 16-Mar and at TEA parties across America.
Angry and prepared constitutional lawyers, such as Mark Levin, have created drafts READY to sue if unconstitutional O-scare is "deemed" to passed.
