10 suggestions to save Illinois from bankruptcy

Every night in Chicagoland over 150,000 men, women and children can be found sleeping in alleys, under viaducts, in abandoned homes, in parks, empty garages, subway trains – wherever they can find shelter. They are part of a larger, tragic trend: in the United States an estimated 2.5-3.5 million are homeless, half of them chronically...
Julie Schmidt and co-author Bill Zettler propose 10 steps to save Illinois in their article Illinois pension debacle poster child:

"Is there a way out of this mess? While one does exist, we suspect the lust of the patronage armies which have returned and kept Democrats in the majority for almost a decade, will be decidedly unwilling to negotiate “austerity” measures of any kind. If they would like a way out though, here are ten steps to fiscal sanity we would suggest:
  1. Increase Employee Pension Contributions to at least the level of private sector employees or 12% (7.65% Social Security plus 4.4% 401K). SAVINGS: $700 million per year; $54 billion over 35 years.
  2. Reduce the automatic Pension Cost Of Living Allowance (COLA) to 0% until the budget is balanced and then make it CPI or 1.5%, whichever is less. SAVINGS: $180 million per year; $13 billion over 35 years.
  3. Pensions would be taxable for all retirees with income over $50,000 per year. SAVINGS: $125 million per year; $10 billion over 35 years.
  4. Eliminate all early retirement plans with their automatic 6% increases and sick leave pension accruals. Extend the average salary for pension calculations to an average of the last 8 years. SAVINGS: $110 million per year; $15 billion over 35 years.
  5. Sell state assets if “The Price Is Right.” Including, but not limited to, the Lottery, Toll Way, Thompson Center, and Thomson Correctional Center. Use the proceeds to pay down the unfunded pension liability and payoff the pension bonds. As a bonus, eliminate state employee pensions-a long-term source of corruption, since the taxpayer is responsible for the pension shortfall. Let the state pay for it rather than the innocent taxpayer. SAVINGS: $20-30 billion off of the $80 billion unfunded liability saves at least $900 million per year; $70 billion over 35 years.
  6. Consolidate the five pension systems into one to increase transparency, oversight, and administration. SAVINGS: $30 million over 5 years.
  7. Make high salary school districts pay their own pension costs. Controlling teacher salaries at the local level is a function unavailable to state taxpayers, and therefore they should not be liable for it. Under the current reverse Robin Hood of “rob the poor and give it to the rich” pension system, taxpayers in poor districts pay state taxes to fund outrageous pensions in another. I am sure progressives would agree that the poor should not pay for the benefits of the rich. SAVINGS: $1.6 billion of 2011’s $5.3 billion pension contribution.
  8. Use cash buyouts to lower pension obligations. Offer cash buyouts on terms advantageous to the state for any member eligible for a future pension, not just those at retirement age. This proposal could get rid of a lot of dead weight and decrease the unfunded liability. Any new employee hired would have a pension based upon a new and lower cost plan. SAVINGS: 2,500 buyouts per year would save about $500 million annually.
  9. Make public employees pay for 50% of their healthcare premiums, pre- and post-retirement. SAVINGS: $1.1 billion per year in 2011; $65 billion over 35 years.
  10. One-half of the current and all future unfunded pension deficits would be paid via reduced pensions until the deficit is paid off. Taxpayers would pay the other half. Why should taxpayers be liable for poor investment performance, increased retiree benefits, and poor mortality estimates? SAVINGS: $2 billion in 2011; $200 billion over 35 years.
This 10-point plan could save the state well over $5 billion a year and, over the next 30 years, will completely pay off the pension deficit. There is no other viable solution available."

CNN tilted Bachmann SOTU response intentionally

From Breitbart "UPDATE: Sources who were in the room at the time of broadcast now confirm that the pool camera providing the feed for CNN was Fox News. The Fox News pool camera was set up off-kilter from the tele-prompter feed despite the protestations of the Tea Party Express production team. Developing...

So, what was really up with the televised feed of Rep. Bachmann's State of the Union response?

Our sources tell us that CNN had originally agreed to use the live feed set up by Tea Party Express, which had a teleprompter running on the lens in which Rep. Bachmann was delivering her speech. But, when Rep. Bachmann left the camera set-up and sat in the House chamber to hear Pres. Obama's speech, CNN set up a camera of their own, just off to the side of the main, tele-prompter/camera. Thus, when CNN provided their network feed it ended up skewed and off-kilter.

Here, we present the direct, Tea Party Express feed as was originally broadcast to on-line viewers (including viewers at Breitbart.tv) the night of the speech."

cool example of Natural Horsemanship

Check out the horsemanship and rapport this Canadian trainer, Jonathan Field has with his gorgeous Andulasian stallion "Cam". How cool is the 'natural horse method?!

His horse is obviously so happy, trusting and enjoys responding to the commands - with just a small rope or NOTHING attached to the animal.

Just beautiful... LOVE it...

USA Lefties revise history, examples: McCarthy or Reagan

Above book came out in 2007... Very interesting. I started reading the first couple pages available on Amazon and couldn't stop. Wow...

Here is a good review about this book from Wes Vernon at Citizens for Constitutional Republic - excerpt:

"The McCarthy era

Senator Joseph Raymond McCarthy was surely not the first public figure to blow the whistle on Communism's inroads into U.S. society, nor was he the last. But he was surely the most persistent and the least fearful of rattling cages. His critics to this day claim he "never exposed any Communists." That is not only false, but quite beside the point anyway. His efforts were primarily aimed at putting a stop to cover-up after cover-up throughout the government when it came to the issue of bouncing Communists off the public payroll once they had been discovered.

The missing files on Communists in government

If you're younger than 50 or 60, your opinion of McCarthy is probably unfavorable. That negative caricature was likely presented to you in the classroom (K-12 and in higher academia), in the media, the history books, the documentaries, entertainment, news outlets — every form of opinion-molding that you have encountered. Those outlets have a history of leaning sharply left. If you're above that age, you might have been influenced by Edward R. Murrow's distorted attack on the senator (see this column "Murrow, McCarthy, and enduring myths — Part 1," Nov. 6, 2005, and Part 2, Nov. 13, 2005), or by Army counsel Joseph Welch's theatrics at the Army-McCarthy hearings.

Talk radio — modern conservatism's most high-profile outlet — is populated by the young and middle-aged who swing to the right despite having been raised in the "Oppose communism with a feather" environment, but are quite naturally inclined to focus on the here and now, with little to say about McCarthy or the era that bears his name.

But there is yet another significant reason why the world has a distorted vision of Senator McCarthy — missing files from the National Archives and other libraries of record, including newspaper files. If we are missing some key pieces of the puzzle to history, conventional wisdoms can (and often do) collide with facts."

Well, hell... I know where the missing McCarthy files are -> geez, that's EASY: same place where the Ark of the Covenant was stored in Raiders of the lost Ark...!
So speaking of revising history, did you see the latest crap from crackpots at Time magazine:

Disgusting isn't it? Pure leftist propaganda. The American Glob (hattip iOwnTheWorld) explains:

"TIME Magazine’s February 2011 issue has a cover that features Ronald Reagan with his arm around a jovial Barack Obama. This is propaganda. Plain and simple.

Anyone who knows anything about Ronald Reagan knows that he would not only disapprove of everything Obama stands for, he would be the first one to call out Obama as the leftist, liberal, big government Democrat he is.

Ronald Reagan warned America about ObamaCare 50 years ago. Do you think he would want to be photoshopped onto a magazine cover yukking it up with his political nemesis?

It’s no secret that since the November 2010 “shellacking” the Obama loving media has been desperately trying to re-brand Captain Priorities as a practical centrist but this is ridiculous."

History revision? Yep... and a lame attempt at that. Don't fall for it...

"Win The Future" = WTF?!

New Dem meme being pushed by the people on the short bus running things at the people's W.House:

"Win The Future" = WTF

And ... also discussed at Breitbart:

"It took my 15 year old 2 seconds to crack up, after I pointed out the acronym—as he texted his way through watching the SOTUS with me. WTF? For non-texters, WTF is texting shorthand for “What the F***?”

Here are a few of the WTF lines from our fearless leader’s speech:

Green energy? WTF!

More government “investments”? WTF!

Sputnik? WTF!

Solar shingles? WTF!

“Sunlight and water” fuel? WTF!

Gang wars at school? WTF!

Illegal aliens pledging allegiance to the American flag? WTF!

Give 80% of Americans access to high-speed rail? WTF!

Avoid TSA pat-downs, take the train? WTF!

A flaw in Obamacare? WTF!"

EXACTLY!

butcher Gosnell as Josef Mengele, nothing to see here

Ann Geddes has been doing clever and beautiful photography of infants for a few years now. I needed to look at some of her happy photos to recover from reading more this week about Dr. Gosnell's brutal murder practices and after I read a powerful commentary at Pajamas Media called ‘Climate of Hate’ Obsessives Ignore Culture of Death.
You've read about "Dr" Kermit Gosnell this week? Turns out he wasn't even a doctor. He was "a serial killer of hundreds of newborn babies" though. Gee, isn't that swell! (... deep breath... thinking about Ann Geddes... thinking about Ann Geddes)

From this commentary by Bob Owens, after the Tuscon story:
"A week later, we were treated to the sight of the same pundits and politicians scurrying away from an even more gruesome, loathsome crime — this time with hundreds of victims and clear-cut political implications.

Why? The reasons are blindingly obvious. The perpetrator was Dr. Kermit Gosnell, an apparent serial killer of hundreds of newborn babies — a man who collected the severed body parts of his victims in jars as macabre trophies of his butchery.

Despite the fact that warnings of his crimes were repeatedly reported to the authorities — by victims and his own employees — he was ignored for years by the authorities. Why? Because Gosnell was an abortionist, protected by pro-choice politicians who would rather his murder spree continue than its exposure threaten the practice of abortion itself. He was finally undone, not because of his decades of killing, but because he also profited from dealing prescription drugs.

It never should have gotten this far. Gosnell was neither a gynecologist nor an obstetrician. He did not employ nurses or anesthesiologists. Instead, he operated in squalid conditions that would have seen any fast food restaurant shut down. He repeatedly botched procedures, occasionally leaving the ripped-apart remains of his smallest victims inside the bodies of their injured and infected mothers. Gosnell should have been shut down decades ago. He should have lost his medical license and been imprisoned.

He wasn’t for one reason, and one reason only.

Some politicians view abortion as sacrosanct. They regard “choice” as the most cherished of “rights,” even though it manifests itself as nothing less than infanticide. Gosnell’s crime spree lasted for decades because government agencies, hospitals, and abortion advocates knew of his brazen crimes and chose to do nothing.

They weren’t the only ones who adopted a see-no-evil stance:

•The Pennsylvania Department of Health knew of clinic violations dating back decades, but did nothing.

•The Pennsylvania Department of State was “repeatedly confronted with evidence about Gosnell” — including the clinic’s unclean and unsterile conditions, unlicensed workers, unsupervised sedation, underage abortion patients, and over-prescribing of pain pills with high resale value on the street — “and repeatedly chose to do nothing.”

•Philadelphia Department of Public Health officials who regularly visited Gosnell’s human waste-clogged offices did nothing.

•Nearby hospital officials who treated some of the pregnant mothers who suffered grave complications from Gosnell’s butchery did nothing.

•An unnamed evaluator with the National Abortion Federation, the leading association of abortion providers that is supposed to uphold strict health and legal standards, determined that Gosnell’s chamber of horrors was “the worst abortion clinic she had ever inspected” — but did nothing.

For decades abortion supporters have claimed that outlawing the practice would result in gruesome “back-alley abortions,” with both the fetus and mother falling victim to unlicensed practitioners and unsafe practices. The Philadelphia horror has exposed a far worse reality: sanctioned abortion mills can be more barbaric in real life than the worst fictions proponents have conjured."

OK America, so you find "honor" killings by Muslim so appauling? Where is your outrage at baby murder?

By the way, TheObumbles promotes partial birth abortions and has backed it as "law"!

If Americans are so up in arms because of murderous Jihad, it might be time to start looking in the mirror... and inside the"sanctioned" murder clinics (payed with YOUR tax dollars!)...

Stop being hypocrits. Stop the carnage. 50,000,000 babies have been murders in the 38 years since Roe v Wade. This is NOTHING to celebrate Urkel.

You've read that 1,876 black babies are aborted EVERY day in America?

Hasn't America killed enough yet in the name of lefty-statism, population control ala Margaret Sanger?!
The American genocide must stop!
The planet CAN sustain more people: don't fall for the greenie hype!
Unwanted baby? Simple: give it up for adoption. Try BIRTH CONTROL or abstinence FIRST kids...!

For Gosnell? Perhaps his body can be donated to science... piece by piece... while he's still alive. (justice... old school... just a humble recommendation)

back to Ann Geddess now... or I'll have nightmares

T.E.A. partiers will be there when their voice matters

Rush made a good point today. The elitists and leftists in Washington think the T.E.A. parties are over. THEY WISH!

They will be there when it matters for the next election. In the mean time, they are raising families, working and going to ball games where the national anthem is sung:

Says Rush:

"The liberals think they've done it. They think they've defeated the Tea Party and defeated the conservatism that roared through last election...with Tucson! That's what Tucson was in their minds: An opportunity to defeat Republicans, conservatives, and the Tea Party. And now everybody's sitting together at the State of the Union, so were Doug Brinkley -- noted presidential historian, now at Rice University -- says the American people have had it. The American people tired of this. Doug Brinkley is essentially saying the American people agreed with the media and Obama and everybody else that it was "rhetoric" that caused the shooting, and that the American people don't want any part of it.

What's changed? Did the Republicans lose control of the House after the program yesterday, before I came back? Did that happen and nobody told me? Well, what has happened here? What is Mr. Brinkley talking about? The "game changer"? "It really was the American people saying, 'We're tired of you politicians name-calling and screaming at each other.' That shrill Tea Party, hard-right Republican attitude I don't think will fly in this season." Wha...? Okay, so they're back. The liberals are back, the Democrats are back because of Tucson. What makes 'em think that? No, I'm serious. What makes them think that? (interruption) Right. The way the Republicans are acting. The way the Republicans are acting is what makes the Doug Brinkleys of the world think that the Democrats have scored a victory with Tucson.

Now, think of that: "The Democrats have scored a victory with Tucson," and they clearly think they have. And the only reason to think they have is by virtue of the way the Republicans are acting. (sigh) I got a note from a friend from Hawaii over the weekend, somebody who wanted to share some thoughts with me. Here's the note: "Recently there was a video of a young girl singing the National Anthem. The microphone malfunctioned and she was left singing with no sound." You've seen the video, right? "The people in the arena came to her side and finished the song for her and with her, as proud Americans. Now, if there was no need to sing, I wonder how many people would have belted out the words with the same pride. Americans need to know that their voice matters.

"We need to find a way to have 'em realize the importance of coming to the side of America. Our voice is being silenced, and there is a need to stand behind the country. Now, the Republican National Committee could run an ad using the video and call out every voice to be heard, the importance of the 2012 elections. Without a microphone, we can still be heard." The symbolism of that video is what got to him: A little girl singing the anthem, her microphone goes out, and yet the crowd took over. A bunch of people that did not have microphones nevertheless were heard. "Americans will do it if they know there is a need. The time is now. You are a great advocate. Thanks for leading. Let me know where to take the idea or to further the thought process."

Now, this is inspiring, 'cause this is somebody out in Hawaii who is about as far away from all this as you can get, paying attention to it, and seeing symbolism and optimism for America in that video episode. And we really can't afford to be the silent majority any longer, and I don't know that we actually are. Not with the Tea Party -- and believe me, the Tea Party's not going away. The Tea Party is not vanishing, despite all of these "optics" and despite all the psychological efforts of the left to make it look like the Tea Party has been defeated and like the election never happened. "You know, the Republicans really didn't win anything."

That's the psychological ploy that's being attempted here. "Republicans didn't win anything. Obama is the focus of the show. He's got the State of the Union. Obama's gonna give us the agenda; Obama's gonna tell us what to do. Republicans? Who are they? Paul Ryan? Oh, you mean that monster that wants to cut everybody's Medicare and Social Security? Oh, yeah, that guy. Yeah, well, he wasn't elected to anything. Tea Party? Ha! What Tea Party? I mean, the people the Tea Party elected are sitting with us at the Obama speech tonight." So there's a clear psychological ploy, and I warned you people about this. Ever since the election I have warned that this would be the effort: To make it appear like nothing of any significance happened in November. "

Sorry lefties... we're on to you and you can think you've fooled the media, but you can't fool us any more... we've seen the commie-marxist manifesto-plans behind YOUR curtain. You can't hide it any more!

USA has case of "Underdogma" says Michael Prell

hattip: Dr. Helen

This book looks very interesting and helps explain some of the loony up-is-down and down-is-up mentality on the left.

From the product description:

"David versus Goliath, the American Revolutionaries, "The Little Engine That Could," Team USA’s "Miracle on Ice," the Star Wars Rebel Alliance, Rocky Balboa, the Jamaican bobsled team and the meek inheriting the Earth.

Everyone, it seems, loves an underdog. Why is that?

We begin life tiny and helpless, at the mercy of those who are bigger and more powerful than us: parents and guardians who tell us what to eat, what to wear, how to behave (even when to sleep and wake up). From childhood into adulthood, we’re told what to do by those who wield more power—our parents, teachers, bosses government. So naturally, we have a predisposition to resent the overdogs and root for the little guy.

But this tendency, which international political consultant and human rights activist Michael Prell calls “underdogma,” can be very dangerous – both to America and to the world at large.

In Underdogma, Prell, who has worked with world leaders including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Australian and Canadian prime ministers and the Dalai Lama, explores our love/hate relationship with power within our culture and our politics. Underdogma explains seeming mysteries such as why:

• Gays and lesbians protest those who protect gay rights (America, Israel), while championing those who outlaw and execute homosexuals (Palestine).

• Environmentalists focus their rage on America, even though China is the largest emitter of greenhouse gases.

• The United Nations elevates countries such as Sudan to full membership on the UN’s Commission on Human Rights, even as the ethnic cleansing of Darfur proceeds.

Tracing the evolution of this belief system through human history—ancient Greece to Marxism to the dawn of political correctness—Prell shows what continuing with this collective mindset means for our future. While America and its president increasingly exalt the meek and apologize for their power, America’s competitors and enemies are moving in a different direction. China is projected to overtake the U.S. economically by 2027 and is ready to move into the position of hegemon, and radical Islamists are looking to extend their global territory, taking any sign of weakness as a chance to attack.

America must return to its founding spirit, and underdogma must stop now—our nation depends on it."

Palin derangement on the right, too

"No one on our side has an obligation to support Palin just because Palin has been a target of almost unbelievable hatred merely for being. Support whomever you want, and make the case for other Republican candidates, but don't join the mob as some people did in the wake of the Tucson shooting.

Palin is not just another potential Republican candidate. Palin is someone who has endured attacks by the mainstream media, entertainment establishment, and left-blogosphere second to no one currently active in Republican politics.

Palin's political and economic survival under this assault is why Palin's supporters in the Republican Party are more motivated than those of any other potential candidate.

And it is why people like me, who currently are open-minded as to the field of potential candidates in the absence of knowing who will run, will not support any Republican candidate during the primaries who attacks Palin. (Yes, the Lombardi Rule still takes effect after the primaries are over.)

Palin may not run, and if she runs, she may not win the nomination. But any other Republican candidate who thinks the way to win is to softly mimic the Palin haters does so at his political peril."

LETS SEE IF SHE RUNS FIRST!

all babies want to get born

"Have you ever noticed everyone who is pro-abortion has already been born?" ... I read that comment on a blog recently somewhere...
There was just a huge annual pro-life march in Washington D.C.? Did you hear about it?
While news discusses the grotesque, evil Scissors-wielding abortionist arrested on multiple murder counts and the 38th "anniversary" of (unconstitutional) "roe v wade" making abortion "legal" (yippee, 50 million killed...), I'd like to focus on the growing pro-life movement.
The Anchoress says "It seems especially poignant to me that as we learn more about the hundreds, if not thousands of live babies slain by Kermit Gosnall, and the pro-abortion mindset within government agencies which assisted in those killings by looking the other way, that thousands of people are peacefully marching in freezing-cold Washington D.C. for life, and to speak up for human dignity.

As usual, the Washington DC march is getting short shrift from the mainstream press. They will report, as they do every year, that “tens of thousands” people braved the frigid January temperatures in Washington, while the true numbers have been averaging 200,000 for years."
You're alive... be happy

if you can bear it, reality on rhetoric and targets

Check out above previously used USA DEMOCRATIC "targeting strategy" map! Were THEY promoting VIOLENCE and SHOOOOOOTING?

Why did the DailyKos specifically target Gabrielle Giffords in Arizona? Were THEY promoting her demise? Did they want her actually DEAD?!

"no, no, nooooooo" you say... this is all just political strategery! Well, yes... that is correct!

Same EXACT thing when Sarah Palin or ANYONE in politics uses these maps. This just poli-speak. Get used to it!

And about the mindless, Palin Derangement Syndrome still being suffered the old guard media and their coverage of the Tuscon AZ shooting - and those that still believe their lies (that would be YOU anonymous!), from AT's Allegory of the Cave of the Mama Grizzly By Clarice Feldman:

"James Taranto ... decides that it is liberal women with an outdated, blinkered view of feminism who are driving the left's hatred of Palin."

"...of all the good explanations I read this week of the hatred directed at Palin and the derangement respecting her views and conduct, his comes the closest to the mark. Yes, many liberal women irrationally hate Palin, but I think they hate her because her very life is dragging them into the sunshine, where they have momentarily lost their way. Right now, Palin's very life is an affront to them -- she's beautiful, powerful, and the center of a large family -- and most of them are not.

It will take these people some time to see that it is their own views and conduct, not Palin's, that is responsible for the distinction. Moreover, I think liberal women are not alone in this temporary mental disordering. I think others at first will hate Palin for taking them into the blinding light, but that with time and more media stunts like last week's, they and the Times and USA readers, the present consumers of the medias' distortions, will get some glimpses of life outside the cave and come to realize the distinction between truth and reality on one hand and projected lies and make-believe on the other."

Sarah Palin info & some great posts by Sheppard

Check out another great Sarah Palin information site called Sarah Palin Information Blog I just ran into with lots of interesting articles posted by various contributors.

M. Joseph Sheppard's has some great recent pro-posts about Sarah:

Media's "Boycott Palin February" Plan Collapsing As Axis Of Bedevil Fractures Over Cash/Salacious Sex:

"...the left media, having seen that their campaign of vilification and destruction has only toughened Palin, whilst ensuring her supporters circle the wagons around her ever tighter have finally realized that all their efforts are in vain."

Palin Played The Ali/Foreman Rope A Dope Game With The, Now Exhausted, Leftist Media And Won.Update; Washpo/NYT Hacks Give Up Too:

"Since she appeared seemingly out of nowhere the "Foreman" of the left has rained blow upon blow at her. With her back to the ropes constantly Palin has taken all their best shots and comes bouncing back during each round, or rather news cycle and instead, as previous "champions" have done, hitting the canvas, she unleashes a flurry of blows in return and returns for the next round undaunted.

A fascinating turn of events has now come into play which again mirrors the Ali/Foreman fight. The left has unleashed their most massive series of blows yet, dumping every sort of innuendo tying Palin into the Arizona tragedy-even though there was never a shred of evidence anything she did, or said, had any influence on the shooter. When she rightly defended herself, they parsed her every word and attacked venomously again. But Palin, like Ali, kept talking back at then "I'm not going away" and " I'm not going to shut up".

And, all of a sudden, there are signs of exhaustion on the part of her enemies. They, like Foreman, have seen their best shots having no effect, and like him, they have run out of ideas on what to do next. A perusal of the left wing media now sees comments like "I am sick of reading about Palin" "Why are we discussing her" "I wish she would go away" "I am not going to read anything more about her". Where an article attacking Palin would, a year ago, get thousands of comments attacking her, the number is dropping dramatically. Even the scandal blogs like Gawker or Wonkette or the radical, execrable, leftist blog Daily Kos readers are commenting they are sick of reading even made up scandals about the Palin's.

It is not just the blogosphere where this resignation is taking place. Charles Blow at the New York Times advises he will not write anything further about Palin, Rachel Maddow at MSNBC said she would not discuss Palin in her show, Mika Brzezinski, also on MSNBC glum facedly discussed Palin, clearly under sufferance, and doesn't want to talk about her anymore."

I love this post, too: "Two Years Till Ceremonial Presidency Ends, Then Return To Normalcy Under Palin" ... YES! now THAT is something to look forward to and keep WORKING at to make happen!

Oh, and the many Palin bloggers and supporters are NOT alone in this thought. Check out "Sarah Palin Wins Free Republic 2012 Straw Poll Second Year In A Row With A Stunning 81% Blowout" ... Be forwarned about POLLS and there "results" though: not all polls are "good" or even accurate. Many are bogus: read about what to watch for!

President Palin, we'll see you on January 20, 2013

Wow... good article at AT today with a very accurate assessment of current Republican leadership (or LACK thereof) titled Sarah Palin, Combat Veteran by Stella Paul.

Many, including myself, hope Sarah runs... America needs HER kind of leadership, not the cucumber and mayonnaise cocktail party type.

Upcoming Republican presidential primaries will certainly gear up to be very interesting.

In her articla, Stella acurately describes warrior Sarah:

"As far as I'm concerned, we already have our first female combat soldier, a breathtakingly brave warrior who suffers the slings and arrows of outrageous misfortune for the sake of our freedom, every day.

Sarah Palin stands alone in America and the world. Name one other public figure anywhere on the globe today who symbolizes the uncompromising fight for liberty..."
About Sarah's leadership which has rallied the Republicans for the last two years with a huge infusion of T.E.A. party life blood:

"You want leadership; you want steel spine; you want results? Helllooooo...What happened in Congress Wednesday? The House voted to repeal ObamaCare, 245 - 189, with the Republicans voting unanimously for repeal.

To whom do we owe this victory, more than anyone else, clearly and unequivocally? Sarah Palin. She showed us courage in real time, leading in every possible way: philosophically, strategically, tactically, and financially. Next to combat-hardened Sarah, every single Republican man is a trembling dwarf."

About the presidential election in 2012:

"...there's a new election starting now, and there's not a single man in it who has ever bestirred himself to really fight for you.

There's only a woman. The Republican establishment loathes Sarah Palin; the conservative commentariat needs smelling salts at the very mention of her name; and the ruling class took a blood oath to destroy not just her, but her family, too.

But
none of that matters, because a ragtag army of freedom-loving Americans knows who's got the guts of a real Commander-in-Chief. President Palin, we'll see you on January 20, 2013."

This AT article gave me the Mathews tingles! Go Sarah!

lefties, please take bipartisan requests with you when leave, thank you

I thought News Talk ZB was a good radio station. Yesterday on my drive home I heard Kerre Woodham discuss (with two other call in commentators) an upcoming area in NZ government up for election soon.

She described this area as "the kill zone". EEEEEEEEEEEEK!

IS KERRE ADVOCATING VIOLENCE?
THIS VIOLENT RHETORIC MUST BE STOPPED!
SOMEONE WILL GET SHOT IN THE AREA AND ...
THE NZ MEDIA WILL BLAME KERRE FOR USING THE TERM
"THE KILL ZONE"...!

ok... no... not really... don't get your knickers in a knot... ;)

Do you now understand how LAME the lamestream "old guard" American media is because of their overreach on the Tucson AZ shooting?! (just the most recent glaring example)

They blamed EVERYONE except the nutball, mentally deranged 22 year old who had a gun and decided to go shoot some people at a rally.

Besides "blaming", now they supposedly (HA HA HA! huh?) want to calm the "violent rhetoric". This from Mr.-blame-whitey-anti-rhetoric-representative Clybourn who said TheWon's speech used "both barrels"... (ummm... aka a shotgun? WTF? so much for "toning it down"!... just another LEFTY LIE...!)

Nope, the left just wants to continue to blame (anyone but themselves), yell, scream, curse, and splatter and spew THEIR rhetoric (<=word of the week) ALLLLLL over the darn place.

They are MUCH too used to the general American populace just allowing them to lie and lie and pretend that is truth. I knew they hated President Bush the entire 8 years but MOST people in America just IGNORED THEM. Now they are OUT of the marxist closet - all their warts exposed.

The Dems call for "civility" and "bipartisan" efforts going forward. THEY had majorities in government the last few years. They NEVER cared about being bipartisan BEFORE NOW! They are just power hungry elitists upset their TIME IS COMING TO AN END. They cannot control the now awakened 300,000,000 American people who are peacefully rebelling against them.

They will continue to throw mud and practice "shut up-ery" the next couple years.

It WILL NOT STICK. Conservatives will smile... then keep on T.E.A. partying, and vote in more and more conservatives. There is much work to do. We are up for it...

Oh yes, the revolution is in full swing in America.

It.Has.Just.Started.

Surber: I do not want civil discourse

I had a wonderful weekend full of summer!
hot sunshine, cool breezes...
a big barbeque at our house with friends...
feeding ducklings... turning the sprinkler on
to grow the grass... I tried to minimize my reading
crazy American politics... but I kept up a bit...
So, have you met people who are full of beans?
Do you tell them they are full of beans...
...or just ignore them?
I think it is probably more often:
people who are full of it...
just get ignored a lot...
If someone upsets you for whatever reason, have
you ever used the term "screw you"
or "go screw yourself"?
I can't say I use this term very often out loud...
I was raised to be a polite person with manners.
I was taught "if you don't have anything nice to say,
don't say anything..."
This term, however, is just a polite way
of telling someone off...
vocalizing displeasure...
isn't it?
- - -
So for a "rant" for today...
I'd like to point you to an excellent
blog commentary at the Charleston Daily mail...
Don Surber explains why the RIGHT
won't shut up... any more...
...ever
An exerpt:

"We have a terribly unfit president who has expanded government control beyond not only what is constitutional but what is healthy for our freedom.

Indeed, this call for civil discourse is itself a direct threat to my free speech.

So screw you.

You don’t like my words? You don’t like my tone? You feel threatened?

Too bad.

Actually, that is what I want. I want the lefties to feel bad. I want them to feel hurt. I want them to cry to their mommies.

That way the field will be cleared so we grown-ups can fix the nation and the economy. If you can’t put up with a little excrement, get the hell out of the barn."

...darn, he's good

and if the American "left" doesn't like it?
They can go you know what...

I'm with Betsy, she's a Killer

Betsy is a killer. American old media has charged her so - because in her own words:

"I am a conservative.

On occasion, I listen to Beck, Limbaugh, and Fox News.

I've been known to pick up a book or two by conservative authors: Thomas Sowell, Andrew McCarthy, or the Founding Fathers, for example!

I believe that the federal government is too large, far too intrusive, and dangerously powerful.

I believe in personal responsibility and the amazing generosity of Americans to aid those in need rather than permanent entitlements.

I believe that the private, not the public, sector is the backbone of our economy.

I believe that our progressive tax system is punitive. We are over-taxed, over-regulated, and over-lectured.

I believe in the power of the free market to correct itself, without government (taxpayer) intervention.

I believe that the Constitution is intended to limit government and empower the individual.

I believe in holding our elected officials' feet to the fire, be they Republican or Democrat (incendiary pun intended).

I believe that our sovereignty is at risk via unsecured borders, out-of-control spending, our crippling deficit, reckless abuses of the Constitution, and the moral decay of Washington."

Sarah condemns the rhetoric with inspiring speech

Gateway Pundit has video of Sarah Palin speaking on the recent Arizona tragedy.

I agree with Mr. Hoft, this is one of her finest speeches. Listen to full 8 min speech here.

Some text:

"Like many, I’ve spent the past few days reflecting on what happened and praying for guidance. After this shocking tragedy, I listened at first puzzled, then with concern, and now with sadness, to the irresponsible statements from people attempting to apportion blame for this terrible event.

President Reagan said, “We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.” Acts of monstrous criminality stand on their own. They begin and end with the criminals who commit them, not collectively with all the citizens of a state, not with those who listen to talk radio, not with maps of swing districts used by both sides of the aisle, not with law-abiding citizens who respectfully exercise their First Amendment rights at campaign rallies, not with those who proudly voted in the last election.

The last election was all about taking responsibility for our country’s future. President Obama and I may not agree on everything, but I know he would join me in affirming the health of our democratic process. Two years ago his party was victorious. Last November, the other party won. In both elections the will of the American people was heard, and the peaceful transition of power proved yet again the enduring strength of our Republic.

Vigorous and spirited public debates during elections are among our most cherished traditions. And after the election, we shake hands and get back to work, and often both sides find common ground back in D.C. and elsewhere. If you don’t like a person’s vision for the country, you’re free to debate that vision. If you don’t like their ideas, you’re free to propose better ideas. But, especially within hours of a tragedy unfolding, journalists and pundits should not manufacture a blood libel that serves only to incite the very hatred and violence they purport to condemn. That is reprehensible."

If leftists silence "evil rhetoric", they'll silence themselves

A whacked out leftist and probably schizophrenic lunatic in Tuscon Arizona goes on a shooting spree killing 6: including a 9 year old and a conservative federal judge. Some 14 are also seriously injured. What a loony. He should have been in an institution and not walking around aiming a gun at innocents.

For those blaming "the right", that is BEFORE America really knew T.E.A. parties or Sarah Palin existed.

Question: if this sheriff knew this guy was mentally disturbed and threatening public figures, how did Loughner get a gun? There have been other mental people who got guns like Laurie Dann in Winnetka, Illinois. Isn't there a background check to prevent demented lunatics from purchasing weaponry? Shouldn't these crazy people be on medications or institutionalized?

Best run down showing the clear recent history of documented leftist hate 2000-2010 from Michelle Malkin.

The left's hate continues... and continues... again and again and again...
"The media and democrats want us to focus on the nation’s “caustic political climate” after the tragedy yesterday. Maybe they should start with President Obama. He may be the worst offender."

** Obama: “They Bring a Knife…We Bring a Gun”
** Obama to His Followers: “Get in Their Faces!”
** Obama on ACORN Mobs: “I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!”
** Obama to His Mercenary Army: “Hit Back Twice As Hard”
** Obama on the private sector: “We talk to these folks… so I know whose ass to kick.“
** Obama to voters: Republican victory would mean “hand to hand combat”
** Obama to lib supporters: “It’s time to Fight for it.”
** Obama to Latino supporters: “Punish your enemies.”
** Obama to democrats: “I’m itching for a fight.”
Some of these leftists might seriously need help... institutional kind of help.
