Freedom Flotilla: the audacity of the infidel

David Swindle at Pajamas Media reports a legal suit might prevent the next gaza flotilla from sailing: "The logic is simple. Hamas is recognized by the United States government as a terrorist organization, thus it is a crime to provide material support for them. The Free Gaza Movement (FGM) is preparing another international “freedom flotilla” which seeks to deliver supplies to Hamas-controlled Gaza, bypassing the established channels that Israel has set up to allow the flow of humanitarian goods into the region. Therefore, any company which collaborates with the flotilla in any way is aiding a terrorist group and is vulnerable to prosecution."

Meanwhile, a new press release from SOIA at Reuters announces "Democracy Collapses in Europe: EU Cancels SIOA/SIOE Free Speech Rally -- Freedom From Jihad Flotilla to Launch on 9/11" (Tue Jun 28, 2011 1:59pm EDT):

"The Audacity of the Infidel will launch on September 11, 2011 from the New York harbor closest to the World Trade Center site. On board will be freedom fighters from all over the world, united in defense of human rights and human dignity against Islamic supremacist oppression."

Why a freedom flotilla?  Pam Geller of Atlas Shrugs explains "The SIOA/SIOE Freedom From Jihad aid flotilla, is intended to be a direct response to the capitulation of French, European, and American authorities to Leftist and Islamic supremacist forces of oppression and injustice. It is set to launch after our national Rally for Freedom at Ground Zero on the tenth anniversary of the Islamic jihad attacks that murdered three thousand Americans."

"The mission is the first attempt by free citizens anywhere in the world to come to the aid of non-Muslims persecuted for their faith in Muslim countries. It is a direct response to the heavily-armed Leftist/jihadist flotilla that attempted to violate Israel’s legal maritime blockade of Hamas-ruled Gaza on May 31, 2010. In that incident, Turkish jihadists onboard one ship attacked Israeli soldiers without provocation; nine jihadists were killed in the battle. The Freedom From Jihad Flotilla is also a response to the Audacity of Hope flotilla that is soon to set sail to continue the jihad against Israel, with plans to use chemical weapons against Israeli forces.

The Freedom From Jihad Flotilla will offer aid to persecuted Christians, Hindus, and other non-Muslims, and call upon the international community to recognize Muslim persecution of non-Muslims as a violation of international law, to be punished with strict economic sanctions and other appropriate action.

The first stop will be Greece, in recognition of the Greek victims of jihad in Anatolia for well over a thousand years. The Freedom From Jihad Flotilla will then sail along the Turkish coast, where speakers will pay homage to the millions of victims of the Armenian and Greek genocides in Turkey.

The next stop will be Egypt. All Coptic Christians seeking to escape Islamic oppression will be saved. Subsequent stops will include Nigeria, Pakistan, Indonesia, and other areas where Christians are facing persecution from Muslims. The freedom flotilla will also include stops in Bangladesh, for Hindus facing Muslim persecution, and Thailand, for Buddhists facing the same persecution."

UK's Delingpole and over 4 thousand comments

James Delinpole is an excellent writer over at the UK's Telegraph.  His recent article Frogs, scorpions, greens, lies is pretty good.  Snippet about the lies and spin by AGW warmists:

"Why? It’s a “why” that applies equally well to almost everything to do with the modern environmental movement. Why, if the science is so “settled” and the case for putting the global economy on a war footing to “combat climate change” so strong, do they keep needing to tweak and exaggerate their message?   Why, as Greenpeace’s former head Gerd Leipold once famously excused  his organisation when it was caught out telling porkie pies on the extent of the Greenland ice sheet melt, do they have to“emotionalise the issue”? After all, surely if the issue is really what they say it is it wouldn’t need “emotionalising” with spin and lies and exaggeration and disingenuous camera footage: it would be plain for all to see and we’d all do something about it."  Read the rest here.

In his Frogs commentary, Delingpole notes "Phelim McAleer co-author – with Ann McElhinney – of the Not Evil Just Wrong documentary debunking CAGW." Phelim and Ann are activists you should know about and pay attention to.

But a recent post from Mr. Delingpole's really ruffled some feathers with over 4000 comments!

From the title alone, you might guess whose hackles were raised "The science is settled: US liberals really are the dumbest creatures on the planet" ... think that conclusion might anger some? Well, sorry, the truth hurts sometimes doesn't it, lefties.  James asks "why it is that liberal-lefties manage to be so utterly wrong about everything.  “Because they’re stupid,” said a libertarian friend of mine.
“Oh come on, not all of them surely? A bit misguided, maybe but…” I protested.
“No really they’re stupid because they’re not interested in facts. They just want to construct their pretty little narrative about the world, regardless of whether or not it has any bearing on reality. And then they want to dump it on us. And ruin our lives. So not just stupid but evil too.” HA HA ha James... no wonder you have 4000 comments!  You've probably ruined a few rainbows and unicorn summits with this kind of truthful writing.
Keep it up, mate.

In 2010, PETA killed 94% of animals in their care

PETA kills animals

I admit I used to be a PETA supporter.  In the last 10 years, they have marched steadily to the extreme far communist, green, animals-are-better-than-people left.  GatewayPundit posts PETAs latest stunt: they want to put up billboards equating microwaving a dead piece of pork - to a microwaved baby killed by her own mother.  Obviously the mother has a mental issue. Normal people don't microwave their 6 week old infants to death. Horrible. Sick.  But not the same as heating a piece of dead pig.  The pig is ALREADY DEAD you PETA nitwits.

Pigs, cows, chickens currently exist on this planet as a source of food for humans.  If humans did not farm these animals, do you think they would still be on earth in such large numbers?  There are wild boar, bison.  That would be it.  Chickens can't fly so they would have died out of natural predation - say by wolves or their descendants: dogs.  Or other carnivores.  Flightless birds barely exist down here in NZ where there aren't any wolves or other large carnivores.  NZ has stoats, weasels and possums.  The NZ kiwi and kakapo are examples of endangered NZ birds because of predation.  If NZ farmed these birds, they'd be abundant - just like chickens!

I am a big animal lover.  We have 3 cats and our new Basenji dog. I was a vegetarian for awhile, but now my health is poorly as I have a problem with very low iron. I blame 8 years of vegetarianism for my ill health.

According to PETA Kills Animals, in 2010, PETA killed 94% of animals in their care. PETA is now just another corrupt leftist org full of hypocrits. Farm animals should be treated humanely with respect but they are destined to feed people. That is their purpose.

haha! "More B.O. than anyone can stand" from AT

5 ways to eliminate body odor: (AKA:  1 vote out Dems 2 go to TEA parties 3 vet a candidate 4 follow the constitution and 5 quit drinking leftist propoganda koolaid !!!)

Hilarious commentary over at American Thinker by Ralph Alter called "More B.O. than anyone can stand", snippets:

"America has gotten a steady whiff of B.O. emanating from the White House and its environs for two and a half years now, and even those notoriously asnomic leftists closest to our foundering President are holding their noses."

"The fact of the matter is that if the election were to be held today, Obama would lose by 5 points to your mother-in-law, by 7 points to Muammar Ghaddafy, and possibly by double digits to Gary Busey. David Axelrod might think it's still cool to like Obama, but who's taking advice on coolness from a guy with an Hitler comb-over and mustache? Check the photos -- they appear to have separated at birth. Maybe the people watching Jersey Shore still think it's cool to be stupid, but they aren't very likely to be able to carry the election for Obie Done."

Go read the whole thing... this writer is spot on, Washington stinks all right... I can smell it here in NZ

who are the "stupid" ones again?

Passing along the excellent video from iOwnTheWorld which has been picked up by several promininent conservative blogs & news sites... So who really are the "stupid" ones again?!  Watch and learn...

thoughts on a deep orange volcanic ash sunrise

I was recently in the Christchurch area for a weekend.  We flew down to pick up our new Basenji Kiki in Pleasant Point and we stayed overnight at our friend's house in Waimate.  It is the middle of winter down here in NZ and temperatures on the south island of New Zealand was noticeably cooler.  I wore a cotton sweatshirt, a rain coat and a scarf.  This garb was not sufficient and I was dang chilly.
Sunrise on Sunday morning Jun 12th was clear and gorgeous.  Check out the colors!  The high atmosphere near NZ had some ash content all the way from across the globe from a Chilean volcano blast June 4, 2011.  I've read this week some scientists who track and observe sun spot activity are worried declining sun spot activity will mean cooling earth temperatures.  More evidence man has NO impact on global warming or global cooling?  What will the warmists do... their religion is based on falsified data and unproved theories. Will they ever grasp reality?  The beautiful blue planet we live on for a few years dishes out warmth, cold, snow, vocanoes, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes ... and man still survives.  Man adapts.  Man does not impact global temperatures.  Man has a general idea of what tomorrow's local weather will be but is never very accurate and in fact is wrong a lot.  The AGW believers are just that - holding on to a religious belief their actions impact global weather patterns.  Explain to me in a coherent factual argument exactly how paying higher taxes will prevent the next Chilean volcanic blast caused by lava pressure and shifts deep in the earth's mantle?
I'll sip on a cup of lovely NZ cafe mocha... or maybe just a hot chocolate.  I'll remain happy I'm not living directly in a natural disaster area - like the continual earthquake zone in Christchurch or directly in the path of volcanic ash.  I'll hope the 50 something dormant Auckland volcanoes remain dormant.  I'll live my small life the best I can and talk about truth.  Lies like AGW hold no interest to me unless it is to expose them as lies. Life has ups, downs but is very short... enjoy it while you're here.  Find the truth and live lie free.

busy week with new baby in the house: Kiki

Here are a few shots of our new dog - a 2 year old tri colored, full breed Basenji girl from a breeder in Pleasant Point, NZ. We flew down to Christchurch last week to pick her up.  We had a Basenji (Sheela) for 10 years so we know and love the breed.  See last photo: "Kiki" was a covergirl for Apr 2010 NZ Dog World magazine!  She is a wee cheeky thing...and we think she is darn cute.  Acclimating her to our house, 3 cats and our schedule has been a bit up and down this week. She was used to living with 10 other Basenjis so our house is very quiet.  We don't want to get separation anxiety so I worked from home last week to baby sit her.  We put in an outdoor dog run yesterday for 3 hours... whooo boy, you should have heard the periodic yowling and funky Basenji crying and howls. OK, she doesn't like to be by herself... but we have to work sometimes, girlfriend, you'll have to adjust to a new life - sometimes you'll be alone and outside for awhile.  Don't worry, we'll always be back to give you food and cuddles.  She is trained to sleep in her dog crate at night - so that is good. Couple nights of 3am have-to-go-wee times though.  Luckily I am a light sleeper... welcome to our family Kiki.
