battle lines are being drawn

Good commentary from American Thinker yesterday The Democracy Initiative: a Coup In Plain Sight - and I agree with "Turfman" who says:

"The battle lines are being drawn - if you know where to look for them.

If your eyes are upon Cryin' John Boehner, John McCain, Lindsay Graham and a host of other flaccid Republicans in Washington and you are wishing that they will rise to the occasion and stop the usurpation of our Republic by the traitors that inhabit the Democrat Party, then you are looking to the wrong people and in the wrong place. Republicans are far closer to the usurpers than either they or the Democrats would ever admit. They are the enablers that allow the alcoholic to keep drinking.

The statistic you should be looking at is the incredible arming that is taking place all over the nation. Guns of all shapes and sizes, ammunition by the pallet load are flying off the shelves at unprecedented rates. People that have always fought to preserve the Second Amendment are now being joined by people who at once always loved their country, but never saw the need to pick up a rifle to defend her - until now.

We have already crossed the Rubicon. There is no going back. There is no fixing what has gone wrong by the political process. We have a "president" (*spit*) that has been deliberately running guns into Mexico to arm drug lords, deliberately running guns through Benghazi to our nation's enemies to foment revolution by Islamists, telling law abiding Americans that they must have their inalienable right to keep and bear arms infringed to satisfy his fetish for power. Screw him. This SOB should be in prison, not in the White House, and there is no possibility whatsoever that he would be impeached, never mind convicted or removed from office. That says nothing about being prosecuted for treason.

What must happen is what was feared, what was contemplated, what was provided for by the Founders, specifically by James Madison as he penned the Second Amendment. Do not, do not, let anyone suggest to you that the Second Amendment must somehow be muted to provide us "safety" from lunatics like Adam Lanza and a thousand others that use an inanimate object to dispense terror and death over the land. The Second Amendment is a limitation upon the government, not a limitation upon the citizen; arguments in favor of infringement are but a red herring.

Remember that those who cry loudest about the 26 who died at Sandy Hook are the same people that allow millions upon millions of children to be aborted in this nation. They don't give a s*** about children unless it furthers their treasonous ambitions.

The Second Amendment is the final and most terrible bulwark against a government that has descended into tyranny, a government that has turned against the very Constitution that it has sworn to protect and defend. The power of governance in this Republic rightly rests with the people, and I submit to you that the will of the people is being subrogated to the will of men who wish this Republic harm.

Men like Madison wrote those words because for a great deal of their adult life they endured the tyranny of the Crown and ultimately fought back against and defeated it.

They knew of what they wrote and left us the necessary and proper tools to prosecute tyranny when the time came.

If this be not treason, then there is no treason.
You know what's coming - but wish not to speak it.
I know what's coming - but wish not to speak it.
But make no mistake, it is coming. "

Matthew Continetti's article is here: A Conspiracy So Immense - Column: What will it take for the mainstream media to cover the progressive movement?

Protein Wisdom also like Mr. Continetti's article and chimes in:

"The current GOP establishment leadership, which the GOP just re-elected, has shown it wants nothing more than to live in its comfortable Beltway bubble, cutting deals, agreeing to compromises, and working in a “bi-partisan” way so as not to be labeled “obstructionists.” That is, they are willing to compromise away our rights for their comforts. As such, we cannot look to them for protection, and instead must work even harder to replace them with pro-Constitution representatives.

Perhaps one way to do this is galvanize a TEA Party initiative that actively — not through mere rhetoric, though an orchestrated alternative media campaign would certainly help, but through whatever procedural and legal pressures brought to bear to have offending Congressman removed from duty, particularly those on “our side,” are at our disposal. And to begin that, we need to know just what our options are. And all of this must take place in the context of state and local nullification and civil disobedience efforts and large scale demonstrations that at least local news will cover — video of which we can then disseminate on social media, going around the leftist narrative gatekeepers of the mainstream national press.

I’ll say this again, and in all seriousness: this is a coup. We are living through an attempted coup — the result of a New Left strategy that relies less on ostensible violence than it does on the long march through the institutions, and now the concerted funding source to destroy the remains of free market capitalism. And make no mistake: many of those giant pro-market industries that will come under attack will switch positions and join the crony capitalist cabal that allows the left to maintain the appearance of a “capitalist” economy even as what they are institutionalizing is liberal fascism, to be imposed on largely disarmed subjects, who are to be molested through the tax code, the regulatory code, and by the hamstringing of their natural rights, which tyrannical men will claim to lord over and reform as privilege."

Indeed, yep, a slow moving coup IS occurring.  Do you see it yet?  Further I'll mention some thoughts from Laura Hollis' "post mortem" from last November 2012 election - esp on America's "selection" of O for another term:

"I am already reading so many pundits and other talking heads analyzing the disaster that was this year’s elections. I am adding my own ten cents.
Here goes:
1. We are outnumbered
2. It wasn’t the candidate(s)
3. It’s the culture, stupid.
We have been trying to fight this battle every four years at the voting booth. It is long past time we admit that that is not where the battle really is. We abdicated control of the culture – starting back in the 1960s. And now our largest primary social institutions – education, the media, Hollywood (entertainment) have become really nothing more than an assembly line for cranking out reliable little Leftists. Furthermore, we have allowed the government to undermine the institutions that instill good character – marriage, the family, communities, schools, our churches. So, here we are, at least two full generations later – we are reaping what we have sown. It took nearly fifty years to get here; it will take another fifty years to get back. But it starts with the determination to reclaim education, the media, and the entertainment business. If we fail to do that, we can kiss every election goodbye from here on out. And much more.

4. America has become a nation of adolescents
The real loser in this election was adulthood: Maturity. Responsibility. The understanding that liberty must be accompanied by self-restraint. Obama is a spoiled child, and the behavior and language of his followers and their advertisements throughout the campaign makes it clear how many of them are, as well. Romney is a grown-up. Romney should have won. Those of us who expected him to win assumed that voters would act like grownups. Because if we were a nation of grownups, he would have won.

But what did win? Sex. Drugs. Bad language. Bad manners. Vulgarity. Lies. Cheating. Name-calling. Finger-pointing. Blaming. And irresponsible spending.

This does not bode well. People grow up one of two ways: either they choose to, or circumstances force them to. The warnings are all there, whether it is the looming economic disaster, or the inability of the government to respond to crises like Hurricane Sandy, or the growing strength and brazenness of our enemies. American voters stick their fingers in their ears and say, “Lalalalalala, I can’t hear you.”

It is unpleasant to think about the circumstances it will take to force Americans to grow up. It is even more unpleasant to think about Obama at the helm when those circumstances arrive."

5. Yes, there is apparently a Vagina Vote
6. It’s not about giving up on “social issues”
7. Obama does not have a mandate. And he does not need one.
8. The CorruptMedia is the enemy
9. Small business and entrepreneurs will be hurt the worst
10. America is more polarized than ever; and this time it’s personal
11. It’s possible that America just has to hit rock bottom "

Read the rest here.

I agree with Laura...  Things gonna get ugly - especially in CITIES where all the lefty hordes reside.

I'm waiting for the days where O has to hide from angry mobs wherever he goes.  That will be a sign the revolution goes into full swing - yep ... Battle lines being drawn?  Indeed...
