Push back against Hollywood's "evil" soldier/veteran stereotype
Hollywood CONTINUALLY depicts USA soldiers, veterans as heartless cruel killers. Really?
They are FAR from it.
A recent example from Daily Mail UK features this guy:
I wouldn't tangle with this guy, would YOU?!?! He's a USA Army Special forces guy in Afghanistan - and sure looks like one tough mother-f**er.
When he was out on patrol, something caught his eye. If he was a heartless cruel killer like Hollywood pushes (constantly in LOTS of movies), he wouldn't have batted an eye when he saw what was happening. This is what he did instead: he RESCUED a helpless being.
A puppy.
With the help of donations and Nowzad (a British dog rescue org): the puppy (Yakkul) he rescued made it out of the hell hole of Afghanistan back home to Valatie, NY.
I'll be praying this brave warrior with a kind heart makes it home safely after his tour(s) finish.
... and Hollywood be damned.

I haven't been blogging much last few months. I've been on Twitter and Facebook a lot, but just haven't felt much like writing. I'd like to write more and am making that a goal for 2014. I'd also like to read a bit more - about topics which interest me. Conservatism is one very important topic. I think Conservative principles will be the only saving path for America's restoration. Leftism must dwindle.

Oh, U heard Mandela was commie-murderer-terrorist, right?
Yes, let's trample on this a**hole's grave. What "good" did he do for S.Africa? It is STILL a shambles, isn't it?

"Nelson Mandela was the head of UmKhonto we Sizwe, (MK), the terrorist wing of the ANC and South African Communist Party. He had pleaded guilty to 156 acts of public violence including mobilizing terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places, including the Johannesburg railway station. Many innocent people, including women and children, were killed by Nelson Mandelas MK terrorists.
Invictus never mentions Nelson Mandelas open support for brutal communist regimes such as Fidel Castros Cuba, Robert Mugabes Zimbabwe, Red China, Gadhaffis Libya, Saddam Hussein, Yasar Arafat and other dictators. During the very time covered by Invictus Mandela received Fidel Castro, the longest reigning dictator in the world, and gave him the highest award that South Africa could give and then had both Houses of Parliament gather to hear an address from the Cuban tyrant.

During the very time covered by the movie many hundreds of white farmers, and their wives and children, were being brutally murdered, actually tortured to death, often by UmKhonto we Sizwe guerillas, many of whom were now part of the South African National Defence Force.
Double Standards
Although Invictus gives all glory for the Springbok Rugby World Cup win to Nelson Mandela, it does not attach any blame to him for the rising crime and plummeting economy. During one short visual in the film Mandela looks at a newspaper headline which speaks of the rising crime and plummeting rand. This reality deserved a little bit more attention. During 46 years of National Party apartheid rule over 18,000 people had been killed by rioters, terrorists, by the police and the army, on all sides, including terrorists, civilian victims, military casualties and police. A total of 18,000 dead during 46 years of conflict. However, in peacetime, under Nelson Mandela, an average of 20,000 to 25,000 people were murdered every year."

"Mandela’s backers are apparently hoping for short memories or none at all. To even mention the facts, which are out in the open, might open up journalists to the charge that Keller mentions in the Times—that of “red-baiting.”
Keller writes that Mandela’s “Communist affiliation” doesn’t “justify the gleeful red baiting, and it certainly does not diminish a heroic legacy…”
The U.S. media’s treatment of Mandela will go down in history on a par with the Times’ Walter Duranty praising Joseph Stalin and covering up his murder of millions of Ukrainians. The difference is that most of the bodies have not yet piled up in South Africa. And, after all, the victims will be mostly white."

Oh, I mean the "Affordable Care Act" - wowza if something is INAPPROPRIATELY named it IS THAT. Everyone is calling it "Obamacare" but I call it O-scare because it IS very SCARY!

Also mentioned over at Michelle Malkin (love her) was USA president George Washington's Thanksgiving proclamation from 1789. Its good and I hadn't seen it before. Have you?

traditions to be thankful for
Above is a bird we saw in Sydney this year... cool isn't he.
This week is Thanksgiving (Thursday) in the USA - and Hanukkah starts.
I'm thankful in 2013 for much the same as last year. This year I was able to spend 2 weeks visiting my dad. He's over 80 now but in relative good health. The last night we were in Paris at dinner with him and my step mum, dad says to me "Ever since you were born, I've always enjoyed your company... its been great having you visit us in Paris and I miss you..."
Makes a girl teary eyed. Good 'ol dad! :-)
I thank God every day I had great parents and a wonderful upbringing.
What are you thankful for this year? Hope you have a good traditional American thanksgiving - or start your own new tradition of thanks - wherever you are.

back from world wide adventures: never wasted

Yes, we went to France, Sweden and the USA for our month long holiday. We saw lots of sites in Paris, outside Paris, in and around Stockholm and in and around downtown Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Paris: yep, nice, cultural, lots of smokers (sheesh). Stockholm: cool and interesting. Chicago: same madness as you'd expect with Rahm Emanual "leading" the crazies.
I tried and avoided most USA political news but kept up in general with the mess that is O-scare, etc, which impacts the USA... I can't help but yell "you're an f**n a**hole..." at the TV whenever O-blabla is on... so we avoided watching TV news as much as possible.
For downtime in USA, we started watching series 'Breaking Bad' from the beginning. This series is now over, but I had never seen it. It is pretty good. The writers and characters are interesting, dramatic, sad and funny all at the same time... bit like that serious 'Six Feet Under' on HBO a few years back. Anyway, Breaking Bad is good if you haven't seen it - you can get it on NetFlix.
I've received a few VILE AND INSANE COMMENTS on some OLD posts of mine.

Your rants are wasted - or maybe you are wasted on some substance. I don't care if you think "WTF" on my anti-muslim posts: you are just a waste of space. "Pure" Islam is Pure Evil and nothing you could EVER SAY will convince ME otherwise. You are WASTING my time.
By the way, I got slighly tipsy (never wasted) on EXCELLENT Cosmopolitans made by great bartenders at Chicago steakhouse Smith and Wollensky - bit expensive (your wallet will waste away), but YUMMMMMY drinks and food there. I highly recommend...
Now go save your pennies and travel the world... if you can do it? Go for it. We're happily back in mellow New Zealand now. Aaaaah, good to be home.

Super sonic civil servant Texas Senator Ted Cruz
Yesterday at lunch while at work, I warmed up some tomato soup and listened to a bit of Queen at my desk. Are you a fan? They have so many great songs, like this one:
A little later in the day I checked on the news online, as I am wont to. I heard Texas freshman Senator Ted Cruz had taken the senate floor to filibuster the upcoming cloture for defunding Obamacare. He wants the 46 Republicans in the senate to stick together, vote NO to cloture and not "allow" a 51 vote but to decline and force the standard 60 vote needed (larger majority) for important votes in the senate.
Hash tags were flying on Twitter as news spread Cruz was on a roll.

He ended up speaking for 21 hours - all night into today - all without a teleprompter, too. He was eloquent, passionate and funny - at one point reciting Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham directed at his young daughters who he knew were watching. Some on Twitter were amazed he made Dr. Seuss so enjoyable and captivating.

Huma's not appalled because Islam
Huma Abedin doesn't care if her husband Anthony Weinder likes to sext women. She's not appalled in the slightest. Why? Here's a few reasons:
This week, Robert Spencer reminds everyone Huma is Muslim:
"If Huma Abedin is indeed a “practicing Muslim,” then there is no reason to think that she doesn’t believe in the Qur’an’s allowances for polygamy and sex slavery (for men only, that is), and thus it could well be that her husband’s appalling behavior simply doesn’t appall her. As I’ve previously detailed, during that time, the State Department strongly supported abandoning the federal government’s prior policy against official dealings with the Muslim Brotherhood. State, furthermore, embraced a number of Muslim Brotherhood positions that undermine both American constitutional rights and our alliance with Israel. To name just a few manifestations of this policy sea change:
• The State Department had an emissary in Egypt who trained operatives of the Brotherhood and other Islamist organizations in democracy procedures.
• The State Department announced that the Obama administration would be “satisfied” with the election of a Muslim Brotherhood–dominated government in Egypt.

Also in August, Mr. Glazov wrote: The Huma Abedin-House of Saud Connection Exposed as discussed with Walid Shoebat
Huma's involved in "Muslim Minority Affairs (MMA)". Some of the MMA goals are:
"1. Recruit individual Muslims that live in non-Muslim lands and transform them as a collective unit by establishing centers, educational programs, mosques and organizations like ISNA and MSA in order to stop Muslim assimilation in non-Muslim host nations.
2. These then can influence the non-Muslim host nations by shifting the demographic scale due to their population growth in favor of the Saudi agenda.
3. A gradual implementation of Sharia will ensue by becoming a major revolutionary powerhouse.
4. This will tilt the host nation in favor of Muslims due to their increase as a population.
5. By this, a transformation then ensues in the host nation to gradually begin to implement a Wahhabi style Sharia. (Hmm, didn't O say he wanted to "transform" the United States of America?!)
6. The host state then will join the Muslim commonwealth. "
Now can you see why Weiner will not "pull out" of NY mayor race? Huma says No.

Protest: Stop party pill testing on animals in NZ
New Zealanders marched today in Auckland and around the country to ask the government to stop legislation allowing animals to be tested for party drugs.
"Why should I die for you to get high?" Good question: the answer is NO.
Only 1 politician voted against legislation the NZ public had NO input on -> John Banks of ACT.
An argument can be made that its OK or necessary to test some substances on animals before testing on humans - say for life saving drugs.
But for PARTY PILLS?!
These are NOT necessary. I'll presume MILLIONS of dollars will make its way into NZ government's pocket by drug companies seeking to get their products to "market" in NZ.

W.House: stay in slavery, stay on their plantation
After I read the commentary from Nonie Darwish, I had the thought perhaps the ones running the White House merely want a return to slavery. After all, this is a very popular concept with Marxists, Communists and Islamists. That is the current make up of those squatting in the White House.
- Promoting "Trayvon" rallies; White House and Leftist media are doing their d*mdest to convince all minorities there has been no decline in racism by white people: all whites are racist. All blacks, browns or other skin toned minorities are forever victims and will never be equal in America.
- They want you to give up all your guns.
- They promote Islamic leadership at the White House: there are no more "terrorists", only man caused disasters.
- Promoting Islam as "peaceful": an ideology which still promotes slavery. Today. Now.
- Promoting open border with Mexico - so all criminals of any countries can access America.
- Millions and billions of tax payer dollars going to criminal enterprises - many of which favour Islam. Money given to terrorist fomenting countries.
- Illegal targeting by Federal agencies against conservatives (IRS scandal tied directly to W.House)
Need I go on?
The White House WANTS "you" (all Americans) to STAY on "their" Leftist plantation.
The gang of Lefties want YOU to CONTINUE to be THEIR slaves - economically, by racial greivance or by withholding the TRUTH.

1. Most new immigrants don't believe that whites or anyone have much power over their destiny, so why are African Americans constantly told they are powerless without white support and approval?
2. The most important protection against unfair treatment is the law, and the US has the fairest laws in the world when it comes to protection of minorities. Much better than the laws we immigrants left behind in the old country. So why are blacks buying the propaganda that they are unprotected?
3. If blacks in America are so oppressed, why then are dark skinned people flocking to come to America?
4. Most new immigrants don't look to whites to solve our problems, so why do blacks look to whites to solve their problems?
5. Are whites responsible for the destiny, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness of blacks and other minorities?
6. Are whites even that powerful?
7. How can constant complaining about racism help black kids in any way?
8. It is obvious to most immigrants that White America often goes out of its way to make up for past injustice, but that seem to never be enough. Why is that?
9. Why do black and brown immigrants seem to succeed much quicker than African Americans?
10. Where I came from, slavery as well as sexual slavery still exists and is highly regulated and accepted in Islam, so why are many African Americans converting to Islam but still complain about US history of slavery?
11. Why are most white people divided into two camps regarding race issues?
12. Why is the liberal camp full of rage and anger at the conservative camp and accusing them of racism?
13. Since race baiting is profitable business, will it ever end?
14. Why are many African American activists constantly saying 'we need more discussion and dialogue over race'? Haven't they discussed this to death already?
15. The whole world has been hearing about racism in America by American media for decades, and CNN International is constantly telling the world we are racists. So how can America expect the world to be anything but hateful towards the US?
16. Why are African Americans ignoring the fact that old-fashioned slavery still exists in the Muslim world and parts of Africa?
17. Why aren't the majority of Americans aware that slavery historically existed extensively within people of the same race all around the world even before America was discovered?

A site called Recovery Programs and Treatment Centers - Help With Addiction, Recovery and Treatment says about "sizzurp, lean, syrup, sip sip, drank, barre, purple jelly and Texas tea":
"Purple drank grew out of the underground Houston hip-hop community in the 1990s along with chopped and screwed rap music—a slowed down, remixing of rap songs using skipped beats and scratching. DJ Screw aka Robert Earl Davis Jr. is said to have originated the style of the slow chopped and screwed, which compliments purple drank's effects of relaxing the user.

May 2012: The Last Refuge presents information T.Martin may have been a DRUG DEALER.
A site called Recovery Programs and Treatment Centers - Help With Addiction, Recovery and Treatment says about "sizzurp, lean, syrup, sip sip, drank, barre, purple jelly and Texas tea":
"Purple drank grew out of the underground Houston hip-hop community in the 1990s along with chopped and screwed rap music—a slowed down, remixing of rap songs using skipped beats and scratching. DJ Screw aka Robert Earl Davis Jr. is said to have originated the style of the slow chopped and screwed, which compliments purple drank's effects of relaxing the user.
DJ Screw died in 2000 of a codeine overdose. That same year, Three 6 Mafia's song "Sippin' on Some Syrup" made purple drank mainstream. The group's song "Rainbow Colors" is about adding Jolly Rancher candy to create the desired rainbow.

Purple Drank Effects - The effects are similar to other opioids, providing a sedative, woozy or swooning euphoria."
