yellow cake confirmed by wiki leaks: WMDs existed!

Nope not that yellow cake

iOwnTheWorld and Townhall asks: will the BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome) sufferers apologize to President Bush?

"The WikiLeaks de facto declassification of privileged material makes it case closed: Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction -- and intended to restart his program once the heat was off." (Ooopsie daisy! Bush didn't LIE!)

Nope, doubt any apologies are comin'...

Saddam wasn't trying to make bundts

Larry Elder at Townhall explains:

"In 2008, our military shipped out of Iraq -- on 37 flights in 3,500 barrels -- what even The Associated Press called "the last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program": 550 metric tons of the supposedly nonexistent yellowcake. The New York Sun editorialized: "The uranium issue is not a trivial one, because Iraq, sitting on vast oil reserves, has no peaceful need for nuclear power. ... To leave this nuclear material sitting around the Middle East in the hands of Saddam ... would have been too big a risk."

"Bush, hammered by the insidious "Bush Lied, People Died" mantra, endured one of the most vicious smears against any president in history. He is owed an apology.

When Hollywood makes "The Vindication of George W. Bush," maybe Sean Penn can play the lead."

Reminder from the comments:

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983." --Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." Letter to President Clinton, signed by: -- Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." -Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998"

By the way, from Nuclear Chemistry - Uranium Production:

"...the discovery of fission led to two potential routes to weapons for the scientists in America in the 1940's. Each required fissile isotopes that would release energy and neutrons quickly.
The scientists could isolate plutonium formed by bombarding of U-238 with neutrons or they could attempt to separate U-235 from natural uranium ore. But both approaches required uranium.

The overall objective of uranium extraction chemistry is the preparation of U3O8, called yellow cake."

I'm not hungry for cake any more... (today anyway)

  1. You know, this story actually did appear on MSNBC's website. Yet, in the long run, they still maintained that it did not exist.

Here's the story about the shipment to Canada: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25546334/ns/world_news-mideast/n_africa/
