veg, herbs and strawberries have begun

Dec 1: we have finally got our first veggie garden going here in NZ...

beefsteak & cherry tomatoes climbers, green and red basil, spring onions:
cilantro, more basil, curry, parsley, thyme:
red and orange capsicums (peppers), chives, lettuce and strawberries:
I have my eye on that strawberry... hope I get it before the birds do! we'll have to build a mesh netting probably to protect our mini crop:

    Thanks for the comment Lisa-I will expand the ten list with your further examples.
    The photo is at the Whatipu information booth about 7 k's past the Huia store (long and windy-and dusty road)
    Great black sand beach and so typically kiwi coastline for that area.
