Land of the free and the brave: for how long?

This is the America I know...  I wonder how long she'll exist.

Battle for America's soul

There are a lot of naysayers around and I see a lot of problems in USA from afar down here in NZ.

Sometimes it is infuriating.  I hear lots of crickets chirping and lot of attention is paid to those crickets. But the majority of folks are still those silent cattle in the field.

More of the silent USA majority are getting involved.  The battle has started for America's soul. The minority 30-40% Left has been waging their war against the center Right majority for decades. Their current chosen-one, totus-reader, mulatto devil-incarnate "leader" lets the world burn (middle east, open borders, IRS scandal, Ferguson riots, more shootings in Chicago, a USMC left to rot in a Mexican jail and so on and so on...) while he plays golf, dances and hob knobs with white rich folk in Martha's Vinyard or his Hollyweird pals. He is not a "leader".

Only We.The.People can truly save America.

flag from the first Christian crusade

The Pope and the Vatican have currently called for ARMS against Islamic Jihadists in the middle east.

If any Christians are to remain in the middle east, will another justified crusade happen?

And in the USA, Christians need to stand up and FIGHT for America, too.

Trevor Grant Thomas has some ideas:

"If America is to stem her descent into a spiritual and moral winter, then Christians across the country must do their best to ignite fires of faith in their families, churches, communities, schools, places of work, and so on, and be the light we are called to be. We do not need Christians who see compromise (with Scripture) as the way forward. Neither do we need Christian monasteries or compounds where biblical values and truths are hoarded and hidden from our nation.

What we need are communities full of faithful families led by fathers and mothers who want to work hard, raise children, attend church, and pass on their biblical values to the next generation, and the next, and so on. As Psalm 78 implores the rebellious nation of Israel: fathers teach your children, so that they will in turn teach their children -- so it should be with every nation that wants to walk in the truth.

Such communities need to be “cities on a hill,” welcoming all those who want to join, so that the American people can clearly contrast the ways of those who are “lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God” with those who seek to live the “godly life in Christ Jesus.” Thus Americans can clearly choose whether to be part of, as Augustine put it, the “City of God” or the “City of Man.”

"America is in the midst of a battle for her soul and it’s time that more Christians started acting like it."

Stand With Israel

I support Israel's right to exist.  From Dennis Prager:

From Apr 28, 2014 "The Middle East conflict is framed as one of the most complex problems in the world. But, in reality, it's very simple. Israelis want to live in peace and are willing to accept a neighboring Palestinian state. And most Palestinians do not want Israel to exist. As Dennis Prager explains, this is really all you need to know. In 5 minutes, understand how Israel was founded, and how, since that auspicious day in 1948, its neighbors have tried to destroy it, again and again."

End African Ebola Outbreak by ending ALL financial AID to Africa

Ebola's current spread - from The Economist
Want to REALLY help Africa?  STOP SENDING THEM MONEY.

From 2005, reason why from African Economist regarding Kenya :

"SPIEGEL: Mr. Shikwati, the G8 summit at Gleneagles is about to beef up the development aid for Africa...
Shikwati: ... for God's sake, please just stop.
SPIEGEL: Stop? The industrialized nations of the West want to eliminate hunger and poverty.
Shikwati: Such intentions have been damaging our continent for the past 40 years. If the industrial nations really want to help the Africans, they should finally terminate this awful aid. The countries that have collected the most development aid are also the ones that are in the worst shape. Despite the billions that have poured in to Africa, the continent remains poor.

SPIEGEL: Do you have an explanation for this paradox?

Shikwati: Huge bureaucracies are financed (with the aid money), corruption and complacency are promoted, Africans are taught to be beggars and not to be independent. In addition, development aid weakens the local markets everywhere and dampens the spirit of entrepreneurship that we so desperately need. As absurd as it may sound: Development aid is one of the reasons for Africa's problems. If the West were to cancel these payments, normal Africans wouldn't even notice. Only the functionaries would be hard hit. Which is why they maintain that the world would stop turning without this development aid.

SPIEGEL: Even in a country like Kenya, people are starving to death each year. Someone has got to help them.

Shikwati: But it has to be the Kenyans themselves who help these people. When there's a drought in a region of Kenya, our corrupt politicians reflexively cry out for more help. This call then reaches the United Nations World Food Program -- which is a massive agency of apparatchiks who are in the absurd situation of, on the one hand, being dedicated to the fight against hunger while, on the other hand, being faced with unemployment were hunger actually eliminated. It's only natural that they willingly accept the plea for more help. And it's not uncommon that they demand a little more money than the respective African government originally requested. They then forward that request to their headquarters, and before long, several thousands tons of corn are shipped to Africa ..."

The Conservative Treehouse has some insight on why disease spreads in Africa and other "third world" countries. Their "health professionals" aka 'doctors' and 'nurses' DO NOT WASH THEIR HANDS!:

"What she has been facing in Liberia in the last twelve+ months since she arrived there was/is precisely the same as what my friend in Madagascar describes.

She has had to do polite but determined battle even with the doctors on staff at the fledgling hospital regarding washing hands and doing procedures properly, not taking short cuts in surgery because of frustration, enforcing 100% performance with regard to sterilized instruments in surgery, etc.

When the ebola menace appeared on their radar this spring she had had about ten months with that hospital, those doctors, and the nursing staff.

When they began their ramp-up in May or so, they had to force the understanding that the completely suit-up in the space suits was not optional where ebola was concerned. It was a flat requirement. No, the families would not be allowed to come and squat in the hospital with their family member who would be in isolation. No, they would not be allowed to touch them or cook for them.

This is the battleground in Liberia and Madagascar. There’s no evidence of ebola in Madagascar that I’ve heard of – just acknowledging those are my two points of first hand information from medical professionals on the scene.

So when you hear about the Nigerian government taking action, or a certain measure being imposed in Monrovia – that’s fine. But it’s not significant in terms of practical impact when you consider what the reality is throughout the nation(s) as soon as you’ve passed the city limits.

This horse is already way out of the barn. The announcements, pronouncements, and edicts being issued now are for PR purposes. They may have limited effect in limited situations. May have."

CRIKEY - >> African "health professionals" have NOT EVEN LEARNED they have to wash their flipping hands and cover up OPEN WOUNDS so disease won't spread!

And WHY haven't they LEARNED this?  Because USA and other countries keep HELPING THEM and giving "them" money - African has NOT learned. The only thing they've learned is PERPETUAL VICTIMHOOD.

STOP SENDING HELP OR ANY MONEY. Period.

They HAVE to learn THEMSELVES.  If a few thousand DIE, perhaps they'll get motivated to HELP THEIR DAMN SELVES.

12 examples of O-golfer's foreign policy horrors

JR Dunn at American Thinker outlines JUST a few of the O-golfer-in-chief's administration's foreign policy horrors:

The deliberate alienation of the UK.
The deliberate undermining of Israel.
The dismissal of India.
The abandonment of Africa.
A back of the hand to Central Europe.
The Russian “reset”.
The North African apocalypse.
The demolition of Syria.
The failure to back the “Green Revolution” in Iran.
Refusal to address the Iranian nuclear threat.
The collapse of Iraq.
The China Seas confrontation.
The rape of Ukraine.

..."Looking at the record laid out like this, it’s easy to understand the more hysterical types who insist that it’s all part of a plan, that Obama is a super Bond villain set on bringing Western civilization down in ruins. But in fact, it’s all a result of long-term leftist ideas, chief among them, in the case of foreign policy, that A) the United States is the source of the world’s ills, and B) Remove American influence and the world will soon revert to a humanist, collectivist modus vivendi. "

"(There’s also a third such concept at work in this case as well: the idea that women, with their practicality and compassion, would, once in charge of international relationships, soon put things is order where men have failed for millennia. This is the reason behind Obama’s hiring of Hillary Clinton, an incompetent egomaniac matched only by himself, Susan Rice, who consistently seems lost somewhere between confusion and bewilderment, and Samantha Power, whose “Responsibility to Protect” doctrine strangely disappeared once she needed to defend the Obama administration’s Syria dithering. The results speak for themselves.) "

"That’s the program that Obama has been carrying out. That’s the basis of “leading from behind,” the “reset,” various Springs and Dawns, and the abandonment of the UK, Israel, Poland, the Czech Republic, India, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The outcome has been what any high school history student could have told you: invasion, brutality, and genocide. Throughout history, the only instrument to successfully enforce peace has been the superstate: Persia, Rome, the Ottomans, Britannia, the United States of America. The dominant power must act as the dominant power or as nothing. Obama, lost in his choom gang 1970s daydreams, has made the nihilistic choice, and now millions will pay for it."

"What can be done? Very little, at this point."

YEP!   THAT is the kicker, ain't it??!!

I don't think my suggestion of tar and feathers is going to happen.

NEXT potus? Has a HUGE mess to start cleaning up.

why Benghazi still matters

From 2012 Canada Free Press:

"Based on information provided by my source and corroborated elsewhere, the official account by administration officials is a mosaic of lies that were necessary to cover the unpalatable truth of covert actions taking place in Libya, Syria, Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon. The primary objective of our covert actions was to secretly arm anti-Assad “rebels” in Syria by funnelling arms from Libya to Syria via Turkey, with other destinations that included Jordan and Lebanon. Regarding the threat to Stevens and the other murdered Americans, the truth will reformat the persistent question posed to government officials, from UN Ambassador Susan Rice to White House Spokesman Jay Carney and others from “how could you not have known” to “how could you have done these things?”

First, it is important to understand that Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Dougherty and Tyrone Woods were not killed at a consulate office in Benghazi—as there is not such office there. They died at one of the largest CIA operations centers in the Middle East, which was located in Benghazi and served as the logistics headquarters for arms and weapons being shipped out of the post-Qaddafi Libya."

Gee, you think THIS would have made a DIFFERENCE in the 2012 election.  HEY MITT ROMNEY - coulda, shoulda, woulda - you SHOULD have gotten better intel about Benghazi before nice-guy-approach debates with the protected golfer-in-chief.  Remember the Left insisted/insists THEY had/have decimated al Qaeda?  (yeah nooot so much)

Trey Gowdy vows to find out the truth about Benghazi.  How far will the muslim-enabling O-regime allow this investigation?  Will Mr. Gowdy befall an untimely accident?  The Clintons and all communists like to kill adversaries.  Shhh, don't tell anyone.

We're waiting Mr. Gowdy.  Get to work.
