savvy smart cookie, Palin already running for POTUS

Nope, don't get your panties in a wad, don't faint or lose your knickers... there is NOTHING "official" yet... Sarah is just a private citizen writing and speaking her mind.

It is a bit early to absolutely state your running for 2012 USA president, isn't it. But James Lewis at American Thinker thinks she's already running... She's definitely winning hearts and minds across America.
Patrick's World recently had a good commentary about bringing back common sense and economy savings in the energy sector:
"If the Tea Party achieves its objectives, we could continue to fill the halls of Congress with deficit spending cutting hawks and reunite them with supply side economic experts just in time to have a true conservative elected president in 2012. To that end, I see no one other than Sarah Palin who can motivate the country to take the measures needed to achieve this and the kind of policy that must be enacted in order to save this country from insolvency, loss of status in the world and the type of decline we are witnessing in European socialist style democracies.

The real engine that will drive this thing will ultimately come from the energy sector. Sarah Palin wrote:

"Building an energy-independent America will mean a real economic stimulus. It will mean American jobs that can never be shipped overseas. Think about how much of our trade deficit is fueled by the oil we import — sometimes as much as half of the total. Through this massive transfer of wealth, we lose hundreds of billions of dollars a year that could be invested in our economy. Instead it goes to foreign countries, including some repressive regimes that use it to fund activities that threaten our security."

Instead of creating false markets with Cap and Trade or a Food Bill, why not tap into real markets where real money can be generated? Combine this with a revamped tax structure and you have the makings of a financial behemoth the world has yet to see. This will encourage investment instead of the fleeing of capital that we see now."

Boy, Sarah could never win on THAT platform, eh? She sure sounds "dumb" promoting energy independence, huh? ... Yep, boy that would really hurt America with that tactic, huh.

Great read from a couple days ago at American Spectator, Jeffrey Lord asks "Is Sarah Palin Too Dumb to Be President?" addressing the centuries old elitist or Democrat attack against their Republican opponents. The title catches your eye, doesn't it?
Mr. Lord explains "This mother of five with a successful marriage, the woman who, without benefit of a famous name or marriage, has been elected successively to positions as city council member, mayor, president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors, served as the appointed (by the then-governor) chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission before being elected governor herself -- this before becoming only the second woman to be tapped for a major party vice-presidential nomination, a successful author and bona fide TV star like Reagan -- this is the woman who is now presented by everybody from GOP Establishment types to liberal enemies as just a vacant Barbie-style version of other men who were too dumb to be president. Goldwater? Romney? Ford? Reagan? Kemp? Bush 43? Bush 41? Like them all, Sarah Palin is just too dumb to be president.

To ask why so many elites dismiss Sarah Palin as dumb is to ask not only the wrong question but to willfully ignore a by-now very, very distinct pattern. It is, yes, a pattern of modern media treatment with prominent Republicans that is discernible as far back as Dwight Eisenhower. But in fact what some call Palin Derangement Syndrome is merely the modern face of elitist arrogance that has been present since the evolution of America itself as just one more colonial outpost of the British Empire."

Well, I agree Patrick about the energy - and I definitely want to be as dumb as Sarah ... or how about these guys:
Lord points out "... George Washington was denied a commission in the British Regular Army as a young man because he was seen by British elites as a more spectacular example of what Washington biographer James Thomas Flexner called "the incompetent provincial soldier."
Yep, wowie, being the first president of a new country, he sure was 'incompetent', eh!
Lefties thought or still think Ronald Reagan was "dumb". Uh huh... nope, wrong again...
"Dealing skillfully with Congress, Reagan obtained legislation to stimulate economic growth, curb inflation, increase employment, and strengthen national defense. He embarked upon a course of cutting taxes and Government expenditures, refusing to deviate from it when the strengthening of defense forces led to a large deficit.

A renewal of national self-confidence by 1984 helped Reagan and Bush win a second term with an unprecedented number of electoral votes."

Yep, just a dumb actor, huh lefties... Welll what about Gerald Ford?

Did you know "As President, Ford tried to calm earlier controversies by granting former President Nixon a full pardon. His nominee for Vice President, former Governor Nelson Rockefeller of New York, was the second person to fill that office by appointment. Gradually, Ford selected a cabinet of his own.

Ford established his policies during his first year in office, despite opposition from a heavily Democratic Congress. His first goal was to curb inflation. Then, when recession became the Nation's most serious domestic problem, he shifted to measures aimed at stimulating the economy. But, still fearing inflation, Ford vetoed a number of non-military appropriations bills that would have further increased the already heavy budgetary deficit. During his first 14 months as President he vetoed 39 measures. His vetoes were usually sustained.

Ford continued as he had in his Congressional days to view himself as "a moderate in domestic affairs, a conservative in fiscal affairs, and a dyed-in-the-wool internationalist in foreign affairs."

Interesting... well what about Barry Goldwater who the left also hated and called dumb... lefties SURELY were correct there, weren't they...?
"The Conscience of a Conservative (Library of Congress Catalogue Card #60-12269) is a book published under the name of Arizona Senator and 1964 Republican presidential candidate Barry Goldwater in 1960. The book was ghostwritten for Senator Goldwater by L. Brent Bozell Jr. The 1960 MacFadden edition is 127 pages in length and was published in the United States. The book covers such topics as education, labor unions and policies, civil rights, agricultural policy and farm subsidies, social welfare programs, and income taxation. The book is considered to be a significant statement of politically and economically American conservative ideas which were to gain influence during the following decades. The book continues to inspire contemporary political commentary."

Yep, Goldwater sure sounds "dumb" and obviously was not an excellent athlete either?

From the 1983 swimming hall of fame: "Even as we honor our Honorees, the Hall of Fame is honored with the appearance of Barry Goldwater, a veteran swimmer who has made a name for himself in politics. The senator from Arizona, often called "The Conscience of the Congress", is one of the most respected and influential figures in American public life. As the GOP presidential candidate in 1964, he faced a landslide by LBJ which might have discouraged a lesser man. But Barry Goldwater rebounded to run again for the Senate where he is regarded as a moral anchor.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona territory, January 1, 1909, he was educated in Phoenix and at Staunton Military Academy. It was at Staunton where he developed as a swimmer and was on a world record relay team. Goldwater has been an ardent swimmer ever since. He is a World War II veteran and is now a retired Major General in the U.S.A.F. Reserve, having logged more than 10,000 hours of flying time in 96 different types of aircraft."

I WANT TO BE AS "DUMB" AS ALLLLLLLL THESE GUYS! Wow, the silliness, lies and backwards thinking on the left never stops, does it?! That is why they MUST be voted out over and over ... the cancer must be surgically removed or the American patient currently on life support may die.

  2. If you'd like to debate one of her stated positions on policies, I'd be happy to discuss...

Of course, if you think she isn't smart, then why does the Wall Street Journal publish her articles (recent one here: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703766704576009322838245628.html)

Hmm, yep, she has made really bad and not-smart choices, wasn't a mayor, a successful governor or got a great deal for an oil pipeline set up for her state of Alaska... those all seem like accomplishments of a not-smart woman.

And FOX pays her for contributing her opinion, she's an author and in her spare time she's helped with her husband's business, raised a family and can fill her fridge with a caribou for food.

    she sure is non-smart, huh...
