We saw "Not Evil, Just Wrong" over the weekend at an ACT party gathering in Newmarket. This movie, released on DVD world wide October 18, 2009, discusses a bit about the DDT tragedy and the growth of environmentalism. This movie's main purpose is refuting the fake science behind Al Gore's end-of-the-world man-made global warming hysteria. "ClimateGate" is all over the news this week, have you heard? "Warmists" like Al Gore, have lied hard for over a decade. While the earth warms and cools naturally, it is not due to C02 nor anything man has done. Records show during the past 10-11 years, the earth has been cooling. Scientists pushing this warming snake oil have been hiding the decline.
Before hearing about "Not Evil, Just Wrong" I had no idea spraying DDT would solve the malaria plaguing countries like Africa. Did you?
In 2006, the World Health Organzation reversed the 30 year band and have okayed DDT. There is an organization to reimplement DDT called "Roll Back Malaria".
A little background:
Rachel Carson is considered the founder of the modern day "environmental" movement. She successfully lead the way getting America and the world to ban DDT with her 1962 book "Silent Spring" which poisoned public opinion against DDT and other pesticides.
She was wrong and has been proved wrong.
A 1992 article "The lies of Rachel Carson" by R. J. Gordon Edwards provides a good overview.
Another "Green hands dipped in blood: the DDT genocide" by John Jalsevac in 2005 calls this "the worst crime in the 29th century" and:
“since the ban, two million people a year have died unnecessarily from malaria, mostly children. The ban has caused more than fifty million needless deaths. Banning DDT killed more people than Hitler.”
Shocking, isn't it? I recommend reviewing the above links to get familiar with how this happened.
So 50,000,000 deaths can be laid at the feet of Rachel Carson. Some legacy, eh? Al Gore thinks Rachel Carson was correct. Makes one think, does Mr. Gore really care about humans? Or just how much money he can get peddling his snake oil? I hope John Coleman DOES sue Al Gore.

Lisa, Good for you for making people aware of this! So many things that sound "good" turn out to actually be deterimental. I've often heard of this sort of thinking as "stage one thinking", as in - Hey, that sounds good to ban a chemical! But thinking beyond the first stage would require learning what REALLY happens when that chemical is banned, etc.
ReplyDeleteWere/are these same environmentalists aware of the deaths due to malaria, due to lack of DDT? If so, on what planet could they justify the deaths of so many due to malaria?
Anyway, my daughter's home from college and wants me off the computer. But I'll be sure to pop back in and read your blog some more. I also want find out more about theis Rachel Carson person. She sounds like a real piece of work!

Not sure how much Ms. Carson ever really knew... but some of these people, like the Goracle, won't listen to any facts or truth.
