origin of USA Democrats: pro slavery party

Did you know: "The Democratic Party was formed in 1792, when supporters of Thomas Jefferson began using the name Republicans, or Jeffersonian Republicans, to emphasize its anti-aristocratic policies. It adopted its present name during the Presidency of Andrew Jackson in the 1830s. In the 1840s and '50s, the party was in conflict over extending slavery to the Western territories. Southern Democrats insisted on protecting slavery in all the territories while many Northern Democrats resisted. The party split over the slavery issue in 1860 at its Presidential convention in Charleston, South Carolina. Northern Democrats nominated Stephen Douglas as their candidate, and Southern Democrats adopted a pro-slavery platform and nominated John C. Breckinridge in an election campaign that would be won by Abraham Lincoln and the newly formed Republican Party. After the Civil War, most white Southerners opposed Radical Reconstruction and the Republican Party's support of black civil and political rights."

The practice of Slavery is alive and in practice in Haiti (above), the Sudan, Niger and other area of Africa and elsewhere RIGHT NOW. From a blog by a Che-loving leftist Alvin Carpio, did you know that "Slavery has scourged the souls of millions for centuries, and continues to do so today. The torment and wretchedness caused by all types of slavery, from forced domestic labour to sexual exploitation, is still experienced by over twelve million people. The account above reads as if it were a historical document written during the height of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, but it actually recounts the haunting experiences of an ex-slave who has only been freed in the last decade. Arek Anyiel Deng was a slave for eighteen years since the tender age of ten in Sudan. Slavery in Africa did not die. The “slow death for slavery” continues in Africa to this day. Slavery still lives and continues to curse many individuals like Arek in all corners of the world. During the period under colonial rule, there were a flurry of endeavours from non-governmental abolitionists to government officials to end slavery, but they failed. There were a whole host of factors which contributed to this massive shortcoming."

Yes, even though I disagree with probably the rest of Mr. Carpio's site and opinions, he is correct that slavery still exists. My point is that USA Democrats started as pro-slaver and continue to be pro-slavery -> now the just need slaves to fill their coffers. They are doing a great job of taking and stealing as much money as they can from clueless uninvolved America taxpayers. If you're think socialism is fine and dandy, are you happy enough just watching American idol, using your iPhone and ignoring what eventually happens in the history of marxist-communist policies and politics? Are you happy being a slave yourself?
