New Zealand won top honors in Wellington Saturday. The posed for the cameras with the cup... and walked the field in a victory circle doing a few impromptu Hakas:

7s and regular union are not to be confused with Rugby League (NZ Warriors). My bloke has been an avid Warriors supporter since that team first started.
Back to 7s: this weekend's festivities was held in Wellington, NZ. Various teams from all over the world come down to compete. There are 4 divisions to try to win the Cup (top teams), Plate, Bowl or Shield (not sure of the order). NZ plays in the top division - beating England to win the Cup. America won in their division.
All the teams will travel around the world to various venues to continue playing weekend 7s tournaments - next weekend: Las Vegas, USA baby.
NBC will be broadcasting some (all?) of the games. This is apparently a FIRST for American television. So get a costume (what?) if you dare (see what they wear in NZ - the crowd goes ALL out!) and head to the 7s in Vegas.

The other countries will have to watch out for those 7s kiwis, including rising new star Declan O'Donnell:

NZ will be the team to beat (as usual!)... Go NZ! Go USA!
