WMDs did exist ya'll

I've had a recent chat (...err... OK a debate really) with someone because I could not let this person get away with the statement they "know global warming" is true (and of course man made!) ... Wow. This person even believes Al Gore and the UN agenda. When I provided documents and facts showing the relied upon UN document was not even written by scientists, my friend replied "well what about Bush and the missing WMDs in Iraq...". Huh? Another wow.

So instead of discussing the warming myths as when I pointed out where his sources were incorrect, rather than listen to any facts, my leftist friend resorted to bad mouthing the ex-president.

Talk about buying the continually spewed out progressive lies.

I told him no, sorry, he could not bring the Bush and WMD bit into the global warming discussion since I had read the Alinsky playbook and I wasn't buying it. My friend could then not provide any answer at all as to why Al Gore refuses to debate MMGW (man made global warming) so I won that round... err... chat.

But it got me thinking. These lefty lies really do some some mind tricks on people!

Apparently, contrary to facts and evidence, some still believe there weren't any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

To me, this is like staying in the we-know-the-earth-is-flat camp even though sailors and scientists eventually proved it was, you know, round. In case you still don't believe it, we even have pictures from satellites now: the earth IS round. Did everyone come around immediately to this earth-is-round view point? No, I guess not. However, if the current USA government wanted Americans to remain in the dark and believe the earth is flat, the current USA media would be pushing this agenda.

It is sad really some people enjoy being kept in the dark.

It is also unbelievable to me people fully 100% trust any "government" or even "the media" these days when so many lies have revealed. This is just amazing.

I wonder if my friend will take me up on my offer to sell him some lake front property in the Sahara.

But back to the progressive lefties who still push the "no WMDs existed" as propaganda against 'the right'. This has been going on for a few years now.

I'm putting up just a few tidbits of articles which outline some of what was found and the push from the left to hide this truth in 2006.

What is the truth anyway? Just keep asking questions. Don't believe the progressive hype as 'fact'...

William Kristol seeks the facts on Jan 16, 2006:

We have long dissented from this conventional wisdom. We have argued in these pages that the connections between Saddam and terrorists were substantial and significant. Stephen Hayes--among others--has reported over the past three years on extensive evidence of terror ties to Saddam's regime. In our judgment, the evidence for such ties has become more convincing, not less, as more information has become available.

Can we ever really know the whole truth--or almost the whole truth? Yes. How? Let us--all of us--read the mass of documents captured after the fall of the Saddam regime. Stephen Hayes's reporting, including his article in this issue, suggests to us that these documents would confirm the argument for a terror connection. But let everyone make up his own mind, based on his own reading of the documents.

Hundreds of WMDs found in Iraq Jun 22, 2006
:

Santorum pointed out that during Wednesday's debate, several Senate Democrats said that no weapons of mass destruction had been found in Iraq, a claim, he said, that the declassified document proves is untrue.

"This is an incredibly — in my mind — significant finding. The idea that, as my colleagues have repeatedly said in this debate on the other side of the aisle, that there are no weapons of mass destruction, is in fact false," he said.

As a result of this new information, under the aegis of his chairmanship, Hoekstra said he is going to ask for more reporting by the various intelligence agencies about weapons of mass destruction.

"We are working on the declassification of the report. We are going to do a thorough search of what additional reports exist in the intelligence community. And we are going to put additional pressure on the Department of Defense and the folks in Iraq to more fully pursue a complete investigation of what existed in Iraq before the war," Hoekstra said.

From the Wall Street Journal Jun 26, 2006:

The president is the ultimate classifier and declassifier of information, but the entire matter has now been so politicized that, in practice, he is often paralyzed. If he were to order the declassification of a document pointing to the existence of WMDs in Iraq, he would be instantly accused of "cherry picking" and "politicizing intelligence." He may therefore not be inclined to act.

In practice, then, the intelligence community decides what the American public and its elected officials can know and when they will learn it. Sometimes those decisions are made by top officials, while on other occasions they are made by unnamed bureaucrats with friends in the media. People who leak the existence of sensitive intelligence programs like the terrorist surveillance program or financial tracking programs to either damage the administration or help al Qaeda, or perhaps both, are using the release or withholding of documents to advance their political desires, even as they accuse others of manipulating intelligence.

This is fast becoming an enormous scandal. Clearly, the intelligence world is desperately trying to cover up its serial incompetence throughout the whole Saddam/WMD saga. In saner times, there would now be a media feeding frenzy over the Hoekstra /Santorum revelations, and the fact that they are having to drag this information out of a secret intelligence world which is refusing to declassify a document that could shed light on one of the most pressing issues of the day — and in addition feeding black propaganda about it to the media. Yet because journalists are so compromised in creating the Big Lie over Iraq, they are cravenly acting as the spooks’ propaganda mouthpiece as these shrouded briefers from the intelligence underworld continue with their obfuscatory, treacherous and anti-democratic activities, while Hoekstra and Santorum’s explosive revelations are being trashed, ridiculed and ignored. Astonishing.

Homeland Security is concerned about what was not told to all Americans; information held back by the mainstream, leftist media 26 June 2006:

According to a portion of a report that has recently been declassified, U.S. forces have located 500 chemical weapons in Iraq since 2003. At a news conference last week, Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum stated: “We have found weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, chemical weapons.” The senator read from a declassified portion of a report by the National Ground Intelligence Center, a Defense Department intelligence unit, stating that “since 2003, coalition forces have recovered approximately 500 weapons munitions which contain degraded mustard or sarin nerve agent. Despite many efforts to locate and destroy Iraq’s pre-Gulf War chemical munitions, filled and unfilled pre-Gulf War chemical munitions are assessed to still exist.”

From American Thinker Jun 28, 2006:

The left and their allies in the press are apparently too dense to understand the significance of the Coalition previously finding biological agent seed cultures, several hundred tons of purified nuclear material, and tons of chemical weapon (CW) precursors. But this entire controversy has never been about the weapons themselves, the age of the munitions, or the media promoted fantasy of pallets of chemical rounds ready to be loaded into Iraqi artillery pieces. From the beginning it has been about the campaign of disinformation and deception of the antique media and the shadow government within our intelligence agencies to discredit the administration in a time of war.

Top 10 why Chicago didn't get Olympics

This isn't my list, but I thought it was good so am reposting from Atlas Shrugs:

Top 10 Reasons Chicago Didn't Get the Olympics
credit to [Rich Lowry] e-mail

10. Dead people can't vote at IOC meetings

9. Obama distracted by 25 min meeting with Gen. McChrystal

8. Who cares if Obama couldn't talk the IOC into Chicago? He'll be able to talk Iran out of nukes.

7. The impediment is Israel still building settlements.

6. Obviously no president would have been able to acomplish it.

5. We've been quite clear and said all along that we didn't want the Olympics.

4. This isn't about the number of Olympics "lost", it's about the number of Olympics "saved" or "created".

3. Clearly not enough wise Latina judges on the committee.

2. Because the IOC is racist.

1. It's George Bush's fault.

LOL

& a bit on why BHO's failure will add to doubts about his 'presidency' from Times UK

Found Feeny over at America's Right

John Feeny, who's above book "Congress shall make no law" (which I'm really thinking of getting) had great blog called "The Conservative Resistance".

I was a bit alarmed though, a couple weeks ago, when I last looked at this blog, most of his posts and archives were gone. WTF...? The next day, it was gone, zappo, non-existent.
DAMN, I thought, they got John, oh no! I really wasn't sure what happened. Who deleted his blog? Was it zapped by hackers? Did men in dark sun glasses abduct him and wipe his computer clean? (not that I'm feeling a tad paranoid or anything...)
I was enjoying his blog and had even made a couple comments. John F was kind enough to leave me a comment back to me here on my rinky dink blog. I had felt honored...

Alas - today I was HAPPY! I FOUND JOHN!

Well... OK, not really.... technically, Jeff Schreiber found him. Now, Mr. Feeny is writing over at America's Right. Really cooooool! I'm super GLAD you're OK John F.

Here is a snippet from his column "Adult Strength and Adolescent Weakness":

Those on the far left do not, on principle, acknowledge the natural freedom and social Darwinism that are indirectly written into the foundation of our country. To do so would require them to step over the threshold into adulthood and accept the inherent responsibilities that go with that commitment. For some reason, it seems to be a much more acceptable course to deal with their adolescent insecurities and inability to deal with the "cool kids" by waging an unending war against their tormentors, either those on the playground or their parents in the house. And this time they’re hell-bent on getting their own way.

Excellent... Will keep an eye out for future stuff by JF at AR.

Vote for Fred Thompson ... for something

The latest "lightning round" from his show ... he rocks

Better than Will Ferrell (sooo sick of that guy)

In response to all stupid "celebrities" especially Will Ferrell, this is damn FUNNY ...
