Super sonic civil servant Texas Senator Ted Cruz

Yesterday at lunch while at work, I warmed up some tomato soup and listened to a bit of Queen at my desk.  Are you a fan?  They have so many great songs, like this one:

A little later in the day I checked on the news online, as I am wont to.  I heard Texas freshman Senator Ted Cruz had taken the senate floor to filibuster the upcoming cloture for defunding Obamacare.  He wants the 46 Republicans in the senate to stick together, vote NO to cloture and not "allow" a 51 vote but to decline and force the standard 60 vote needed (larger majority) for important votes in the senate.

Hash tags were flying on Twitter as news spread Cruz was on a roll.

He ended up speaking for 21 hours - all night into today - all without a teleprompter, too.  He was eloquent, passionate and funny - at one point reciting Dr. Seuss Green Eggs and Ham directed at his young daughters who he knew were watching.  Some on Twitter were amazed he made Dr. Seuss so enjoyable and captivating.

Richard Kantro points out he is a Cruz Missile:

"Describing the denial of medical care, the crushing rise of oppressive IRS enforcement, and the emerging horror stories all barreling towards America as Obamacare's socialized provisions take hold, Cruz is both enlightening and harrowing in his thorough mastery of what's wrong with this legislation, and the mindset which wrote it, forced it through, and supports it. Eschewing pessimism and the mocking hostility of the press -- which calls defunding "hopeless" -- and disdaining the Senate's tactics of exclusion and cloture, Cruz is calling for holding true debate; for hearing the genuine sentiments of the American people; and for unabashedly rejecting socialized medicine, which he is not afraid of calling by name. And returning repeatedly to the stirring mantra he has established for this most heroic of demonstrations, that we "must make D.C. listen."

Ted Cruz this morning is standing for all the people of this nation. One day, in a more serene and less polarized America, even those who are his opponents today will look back with relief and gratitude, and thank him for what he has done on the Senate floor today. His inspirational signature response throughout this magnificent performance will itself deserve to be remembered by future patriot-legislators when they muster the courage and strength to truly represent those who elected them: "I am happy to yield for a question without yielding the floor."

The smart, passionate and conservative Senator Cruz definitely puts the serve back in civil servant!

They work for YOU America.  Not the other way round.  Get it yet?

"Mark Levin delivered a fantastic monologue coming out of the gate today on Obamacare and the fact that Republicans have finally been forced by the American people to try and defund it."

GO LISTEN to epic, logical, passionate rant at THE RIGHT SCOOP

"The American people DESPISE THIS and it HASN'T even been IMPLEMENTED YET" - Mark Levin

you go sir, please keep speaking the TRUTH!

no-permit bikers ride to honor 9/11 and protest permit-given muslims

Permit was issued in Washington DC for a "million muslim march" on 11-Sep-2013.

A permit was DENIED in Washington DC for "two million bikers" who wanted to ride to protest the million muslim march.

who's winning? remember Sept 11, 2001

Twelve years on in the Islamic jihad AGAINST the USA and other western countries, so who's winning?

Michael Walsh at PJMedia points out:

"… we are still at war with the Muslim world, and it most certainly is still at war with us.

… we have lost the strategic advantage of having large concentrations of forces in Iraq and Afghanistan, surrounding Iran, and the mullahs are well on their way to acquiring nuclear weapons in order to hasten the coming of the Twelfth Imam.

… in addition to the 3,000 souls lost in 2001, more than 5,000 soldiers have perished in the “War on Terror,” and for absolutely no strategic purpose or effect.

… we lost four diplomats and security personnel in Benghazi, Libya, exactly one year ago today, and still the government not only continues to lie about what happened but also refuses to let the truth come out. Or, maybe, somehow it will.

… our best fighting generals have been sacked, on one pretense or another, since the start of combat operations in the Af-Pak theater.

… we have active hostiles serving openly in our Armed Forces.

… political correctness has spread to all corners of the Armed Services, including the Marine Corps, and is directly responsible for the Bradley Manning and Major Hasan fiascos; there will be more to come. "

Help kick start World War III !!??!!

Making the rounds on the internet, this is flipping hilarious.... or are they serious?

oh by the way:  RUSSIA TO THE RESCUE !

From Dianny Rants:

"And the only man with testicles in this whole mess, Vladimir Putin, leapt onto Kerry’s throw away comment and announced that he would get Assad to agree to relinquish his chemical weapons. The big headline this morning is Assad has agreed to Putin’s offer.

LOL O and Kerry... Upstaged by Putin.  Crikey

NO to USA involvement in Syria

Americans do NOT support helping Islamic rebels like Al Quada (however its spelled).

REMEMBER SEPTEMEBER 11TH!  This attack was by Islamists! They HATE the USA.  And O and his minions want to CODDLE them and ARM them. What UTTER nonsense...

Justice with Jeanine Pirro on Syria explains why most rational and sane Americans say NO to any USA strikes or boots on ground in another middle east hell hole below. And BRING American troops home from Iraq and Afghanistan already.

O has no credibility
His regime has no credibility
Kerry has no credibility either.  From 2012 see happy dinner time photo with Kerry, Assad and their wives:

Last year, Liberty Beacon noted "John Kerry, who is expected to be nominated as secretary of state later this afternoon [TLB Note: John Kerry has been nominated since this article was posted; please read more here], has made frequent visits to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Assad is now under fire for mass murdering his own civilians, as he fights an internal war to keep his position of power."

O's finger wagging at Assad will mean nothing. Couple weeks ago Heritage noted "Rubio and Risch emphasized that Assad is unlikely to receive the intended message of a “finger wag” strike and instead will become even further emboldened by U.S. military action. After all is said and done, Assad would be able to say he stood up to the greatest military power on the globe and continue the slaughter of Syrians."

On twitter:  #NoUSTroopsInSyria or just #Syria

Was Benghazi just a gun running operation from Libya to Syria for O's AQ pals?  Is THAT why the "investigation" is being blocked by O and his minion?  New flash: the attack which killed a US ambassador was NOT due to some random video. Atlas Shrugs points out the idiotic Susan Rice to brief congress on Syria on September 11, 2013?  What asshattery is that?!

Last but not least for this post: DC "approved" a million muslim march for 11-Sep-2013 but NOT for American motorcyclists.  Twitchy reports: THEY ARE GOING TO RIDE ANYWAY.

Aus government walks back from far left: Abbott beats Rudd

CONGRATULATIONS to Australia with their newly elected PM: Tony Abbott

I figured and predicted Abbott would win handily.
- And he did.
- In a landslide.

Previous Labour-Leftist Australia PM Julia said "no carbon tax", then enacted one.  This plus many other incorrect Leftist steps - like Australia having a new current financial crisis at moment - ousted the incumbent left.

- Julia ousted Rudd.
- Rudd ousted Julia.
- Bicker bicker bicker
- Typical Lefties

Now Tony is in charge. Phew and ....YES!

NBR lists main policy goals of newly elected incoming Prime Minister of Australia:

"Pundits have generally seen the result as a rejection of the bickering, exhausted Rudd-Gillard government that a pro-Abbott swing.  (<= ya THINK?!)

Nevertheless, the incoming government has an interesting mix of right and more centralist policies on his agenda, including:
• cutting the corporate tax rate to 28.5%, from 30%
• scrapping the controversial taxes on mining profits and carbon emissions
• building more roads
• a crackdown on asylum seekers
• a controversial and expensive paid parental leave system (paying a parent up to $A75,000 to cover six months' leave, against Labor's 18 weeks)
• boosting the role of private insurance in Australia's health system
• only paying for fibre-to-the-node (neighbourhood) rather than fibre-to-the-premise as under Labor under the National Broadband Network rollout
• cut 12,000 to 15,000 public servants through attrition

The change of government could also see closer transtasman economic ties."

Good on ya mates... and good job Aussie voters: oy oy oy!

Uncool to do nothing and pretend it’s something

Work is cool.

Kittens are definitely NOT rats.

Doing nothing and pretending it's something is VERY uncool.

is this a kitten or a rat ?
Twitchy posts what Greg Gutfeld said - he has perfected Alinsky's example "5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage." At Americans For Prosperity summit, Greg says:

So it's a kitten, definitely a kitten, right?

whatever, they are still cute ...
