After Nov2 midterms, O-regime fleeing to India

Have you heard? A HUGE trip planned to India next week: the whole O-regime is getting out of dodge after mid-term elections:

"The presidential entourage will have 40 aircraft, including the Air Force One that will ferry the president. There will be six armoured cars, including four Barack Mobiles and a Cadillac.

Cadillac is equipped with a mini communication centre to enable Obama to be in touch with the White House, US vice president and the US strategic command. It also has the US nuke launch codes and it can withstand a chemical or germ warfare and a bomb attack.

Two secret service command posts will be set up in Delhi and Mumbai to act as the communication nerve centres. These will monitor the president's movement with real time satellite monitoring.

Three Marine One choppers will be reassembled in India to ferry the president and his family and to evacuate them in case of any emergency."

Do they fear the incoming TEAnami?
Do they know their support continues to dwindle further - even contined loss of many Democrats? Yes, this is true. From Kevin at HillBuzz, check out "An Open Letter to Rush Limbaugh and His Listeners — With Notes on the Democrat Civil War Already In Progress":

"Speaking from personal experience, as someone who has worked in fundraising for over 10 years and who has been a part of every presidential campaign since 1992, the Democrats have permanently alienated tens of millions of people who normally turned out reliably every year not just to vote Democrat, but also to write checks and otherwise participate in campaigns.

No more. Never again.

Here in Chicago, just about everyone who was part of Team Hillary efforts with me on the ground has completely divorced themselves from the Democrat Party. Being called a racist repeatedly and hearing from Donna Brazile that we are not needed will do that to a person."

"This is and it isn’t about Hillary.

What it’s really about is what the Democrat Party did to Hillary that alienated tens of millions of Jacksonian/Clintonian/middleclass Americans from the party permanently — and this includes what the party and Obama campaign did to Hillary’s supporters themselves (ie, calling them racists, telling them they weren’t wanted, calling them bitter clingers, etc.).

For the first time in our lives, so many of us former Democrats were given an Alinsky taste of what the Democrat Party really stand for…what it really believes…and how it really feels about America, our Constitution, our economy, and our way of life.

Howard Dean, Donna Brazile, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Obama took the mask off the Democrat Party…and the Leftist gorgon that lurked beneath is something America-loving, middleclass, Jacksonian/Clintonian Democrats want nothing to do with.

As part of your “Reverse Operation Chaos”, you really need to emphasize something the media just won’t talk about — and that’s the simple fact that even if you called yourself a Democrat for 32 years, the way I did, because everyone you grew up with and everyone in your family was a Democrat, that in 2010 it’s time to ask yourselves what that really means.

Do you want to be in a party that calls people racists for stepping out of line and voicing opposition to the socialist lurch of the current administration?

Do you condone voter fraud and the shameless, undemocratic tactics employed by Democrats?

Do you wish to associate with the likes of ACORN, the SEIU, the Black Panthers, and all the other thugs, goons, and degenerates the Obama campaign and White House employ as the DNC’s muscle on the ground?

It is crystal clear that being a patriotic American who loves this country is intellectually incompatible with being a Democrat. If you love America and want it to prosper, the Democrat Party is at absolute odds with everything we need for a thriving, successful economy.

Hillary supporters realize this."

"Democrats have made themselves synonymous with anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-democracy. Obama and his acolytes decidedly upped the ante when it came to their aggressive push towards socialism…and this Center-Right nation is resisting it in what I am certain will be an epic refudiation (to borrow the Governor’s term) next week.

On November 3rd, no one I know will be resting on any laurels. November 3rd starts the 2012 campaign…and not just the presidential race (where we’ll back Governor Palin) but the drive to knock people like Claire McCaskill out of office, continuing our work to take down every last one of the Obama supporters who backstabbed Hillary Clinton and helped install this socialist into the White House back in 2008. When you hear talk of a Hillary “enemies’ list”, or just “The List” as we call it in HRC supporter circles, this is very much real…and we are truly committed to making sure the Claire McCaskills out there get everything that is coming to them for all their service to Obama and his agenda."

"Hope your time on the Obama Kool-Aid bandwagon was worth ruining your life over.

We will not forget those Obamacare votes. We will not forgive being called a racist because we don’t support this terrible man and his awful agenda. We will not be silenced.

We will not give up.

It’s going to be years, if ever, before the lamestream media ever catches up to any of this, and realizes that a large swath of people who used to be Democrat loyalists are now doing everything they can to destroy the party. Some of them are out and open, like me and my friends here at HillBuzz, but many are doing their part quietly. They just stop writing checks. Or maybe now they write checks to Democrat opponents. They might continue to attend events and fundraisers, but now they call up Republican sites and give them all the dirt on what they heard in those meetings. The Democrat Party alienated so many people who are now working to bring it down that I could go on for pages and pages more on this topic."

Maybe they can stay in India... America can easily find better leadership... P.S. remember to close ALL their bank accounts and cancel their plane tickets back to the U.S.A. ... cheerio regime, have a nice trip!

have a scary, I mean, happy halloween

Choices are clear Nov2 for America

Victor Davis Hanson explains why Americans are upset and eager to vote next Tuesday in the Nov 2nd midterm elections. Mr. Hanson summarizes just a few of the unhappy items from the 21 months into TheOne-Reid-Peelousy regime:

"A vast new health care monstrosity that will send private insurance rates through the ceiling. The Machiavellian way in which it was slammed through. Failed stimulus. Wasteful pork-barrel spending of hundreds of billions in borrowed money. Persistent near 10% unemployment. Three trillion dollars in new debt in just two years. Record levels of federal spending. The vast increase in the size of government and its share of GDP. Eight years of projected $1 trillion annual budget deficits. Record high foreclosures. Record high usage of food stamps. The Keynesian zeal of Romer/Summers/Orzag followed by their sudden resignations in the wake of failure. Constant talk of higher taxes on “them”— the promised new health care surcharge taxes, the promised return to the Clinton income tax rates, talk of a VAT, talk of lifting the caps on income subject to FICA taxes, new capital gains taxes, new inheritance taxes on the horizon.

The use of extra-cabinet czars to avoid confirmation and audit. The neglect of the law, from reversing the order of Chrysler creditors to announcing a BP $20 billion shakedown and punishments for health insurers who don’t toe the line. The ascendance of ACORN and SEIU. The months-long shutdown of Gulf drilling. The failure to encourage coal, nuclear, and oil and gas new production. The Black Panther voting intimidation mess. The bowing abroad. The apologies. The outreach to enemies, and the snubbing of allies. The unnecessary humiliation of Great Britain and Israel. The Iran serial “deadline” charade. The unnecessary announcement of Afghan troop withdrawal deadlines. “Overseas contingency operations” and “man-made disasters.” The proposed civilian trial of KSM. The Ground Zero mosque mess. The beer summit mess. NASA’s new main mission of Muslim outreach. Stopping the border fence. Suing Arizona and demonizing the state. The apologies to the Chinese over the Arizona law, which was trashed from the White House lawn by the president of Mexico, and sued by foreign governments to the apparent approval of the administration.

The constant “Bush did it” refrain. The gratuitous slurs against limb-lopping doctors. The thrashing of the “rich” going to the Super Bowl and Las Vegas. The artificial divide of them/us based on $250,000 of annual income. The racial divisiveness from a sad cast of characters that gave us “cowards,” “stupidly,” “wise Latina,” and whites polluting the ghetto. Unhinged appointees like Van Jones and Anita Dunn. The occasional unguarded admissions like “never waste a crisis” and “at some point I do think you’ve made enough money.” The wacky behavior from the whining of “like a dog” to the sudden junketing to Copenhagen to lobby for the Chicago Olympics. The Orwellian cheap damning of the Bush anti-terrorism protocols only to accept or expand tribunals, renditions, Guantanamo, Predators, Iraq, and intercepts and wiretaps. The golf obsession and Costa del Sol while trashing the indulgent rich.

I’ll stop there since we have another 27 months to go."
Crikey, Mr. Hanson's brief summary only covers SOME of why America is angry!...
If the "democrat" agenda continues unchecked? Rush gives us an explanation of "What Would the Country Look Like Should Obama's Agenda Prevail?" It is NOT pretty...

"Imam Obama said that his agenda is on the ballot. So all we have to do is look at his agenda. Well, what did his agenda do? Obama's agenda has dramatically driven up unemployment. Unemployment will continue to be high and go higher if the Democrats stay in power. Obama has driven up the deficit so we would have to expect the deficit will remain high. We also know that taxes will go up on the premise that we will lower the deficit by raising taxes. So Americans will become poorer. Fewer Americans will be working. Those who aren't working will be taken care of with transfer payments, redistribution of wealth, as Obama continues his assault on achievement. The remaining achievers in this country will become targeted even more.

With higher taxes, punitive regulations, disincentives to start businesses and what have you. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for the results of Obama's agenda. Under Obama and without any complaint from Democrats, we have deliberate attempts to spark class warfare and racial divide. We have more racial division in this country than we've had since 1964, sponsored by and brought to us by Obama. We have an attorney general who looks the other way at black-on-white election fraud. By design. We have a civil rights division of the Justice Department that says its only reason for existence is to make sure that blacks are not cheated in elections. It's okay if whites are, because that's just leveling the playing field from years ago.

Class warfare will continue, racial division will continue and get even worse. By design. We have czars. We have people appointed by the president to serve in positions that do work that we don't know. They are paid salaries we don't know. They are accountable to no one. They report only to Obama; they do not have to get confirmed before the Senate. We have an all-out effort to empower parasitic unions to continue to fund outrageous, unpayable gold-plate pensions. States' bankruptcy will proceed on schedule, the unions and their pension plans and their health payments and their retirement funds will be paid no matter what consequence occurs to you, me or our country.
All of this destruction, all of this transfer of wealth, all of this redistribution, all of this overseeing of America in decline will be paid for by the American taxpayer."

So vote "D" if you want that agenda... or, better still a GREAT idea from Canada Free Press: if you're confused or don't know what is going on: don't vote.

Side note: there is GREAT news for "D"s who DO WANT the agenda Rush describes. They can go somewhere it has already been put implemented: Cuba... move there instead. Bon voyage!

6 minutes on why DE-funding O-scare is required

From NewZeal and NiceDeb, 6 minute video explains the O-scare "health care" rationing and why this whole thing needs to be DE-funded, repealed, replaced.

America: watch out for voter fraud (already occuring!)

"When True the Vote began monitoring elections last fall in Houston, we were shocked at the fraud we discovered. Precinct judges often failed to check voters IDs, and some even filled out ballots to “help” people vote. These violations are just the tip of a very large and ugly iceberg.

If you are one of the millions of Americans outraged by corruption at the highest levels of our nation’s government, then you can help us stop fraud where it begins – at the polling place, in the precinct where you live, in the streets of your city.

If you care enough to help, contact us today to become part of our action plan. A commitment of just a few hours is all it takes to help restore truth and integrity to our elections."
there's an app for that

Also, from American Thinker:
"The reports are rolling in from all over the country. A Craven County, NC resident attempts to vote a straight Republican ticket but his choices come up straight Democrat four times, despite receiving assistance from poll workers. In NC's Lenoir County, registered Democrat Ervin Norville also tries to vote straight Republican but finds that his ballot has the names of several Democrat candidates selected. Boulder City, NV resident Joyce Ferrara says that when she and several others went to vote for Sharon Angle, they found that Senator Harry Reid's name was already checked off. In Dallas County, TX' congressional district 30, Democrat Eddie Bernice Johnson's name was the only one on the ballot in a few locations (no, she isn't running unopposed). And some states have been late in mailing out military absentee ballots, whose recipients, interestingly, are known for their Republican leanings."

Get some butter 'cause O is Toast

It is 7:30am and I'm scanning the headlines at Canada Free Press. This one caught my eye "Give Obama a Pat on the Back—of Butter—He’s Toast" by Kelly O'Connell:

"Obama has utterly failed. He launched an entire presidency upon a tissue of lies, excuses, ignorance and a prickly cult of self-worship. But this proved so unstable it gave way beneath him mere weeks into his tenure. Now he free-falls into oblivion. Future historians might craft “theories”—obscuring his incompetence, blaming it onto outside forces or resolute foes. But those who witnessed his malfeasance know better.

What was Barack’s biggest mistake? Laying all his chips on the table to bet on Liberalism. He was either too untutored to know socialism always fails; too cagey in craftily sabotaging Capitalism; not mentally fit for the task, or too indifferent to care. Take your pick. Since all of Oabama’s possible strategies would still lead to utter failure, it doesn’t much matter. He’s an anti-Reagan in almost every way possible to imagine."

Outstanding ... Mr. O'Connell's optimism is contagious.
Nov 2nd TEAnami of unhappy voters is heading to shore... The voting fraud has already started, too, but I think the wave will be too big.

Go read the entire CFP article, here's a bit more:
Modern Liberalism is Based Upon Untruths
"We owe a great debt to Obama. Mostly for his willingness to recklessly follow socialistic liberalism to its logical conclusion, which is utter failure. Does Obama realize he’s been “punked”? That he’s been made to play the fool to move the ball further down the left side of the field? Does he even care? It doesn’t matter any longer as Obama will soon be stripped of his lieutenants in the House and Senate. Then let the blaming begin.

The fact that what is called “modern liberalism” is actually composed of socialist or Marxist ideas in stealth mode is all one needs to know in terms of the transparency of current leftists. But if ever an ideology were misnamed, “modern liberalism” must be it. First, there is nothing “modern” about current leftism, as the ideas were hatched around the French Revolution, and have not changed much since. More unsettling, there is nary a sentiment treasuring liberty, ie freedom, in the entire plank of the modern liberal agenda.

Consider These Leftist failures:
Family: Modern liberalism teaches the family is an artificial construct that has no profound meaning. For instance, a single mother is every bit as much of a complete family as a married mother and father. Further, a gay couple have every right to create a family, even if the children must be contracted out. We simply assume that all our decisions must be honored by nature or the gods, and cannot have bad outcomes. Yet the result has been a society that seems to have given up on the idea of romantic love, and treats all sexual topics in a transactional instead of a relational manner. Obama’s love of his daughters is canceled out by his bloody fight for all abortions, even partial-birth abortion. Liberalism is anti-life.

Education: Modern liberal ideas about education, focus upon the misbegotten ideas of John Dewey, an original signator of the Humanist Manifesto. Dewey was at minimum a radical atheist humanist, but many scholars believe he was a Marxist, as well. Dewey’s education method was based upon experiential instruction that eschewed the classics and sought to prepare youngsters for a trade or some other skill. In doing this he destroyed the world’s greatest public education system and replaced it with what we see today, a method resulting in Johnny not being able to think. Yet, this fits the Marxist world-view where the few elites rule the ignorant masses with an iron hand. But Obama agrees with Dewey, a fellow Pragmatist."
- and -
Why Liberalism Always Fails
"Given modern liberalism’s presumptions, there are a few unavoidable facts that dictate socialism and Marxism must always fail.

Ignoring Human Nature
Human beings have a “human nature,” which according to Bible believers is largely resultant of being made in God’s image. Human nature was also noted by pagan classical writers, such as the Greeks and Romans. It is simple human nature to seek rewards for doing well, and the opposite for those who fail. But in the modern liberal mindset, where religion is dismissed as a fantasy for the dense, people are seen resembling robots.

Under socialist systems, its assumed everyone will work and be willing to share with others, even the lazy and indifferent. But, this never works. Yet, instead of adapting their socialist system to the realities of how people decision make and what motivates them, the typical communist tyrant rolls up his sleeves and begins to kill people who resist him. After awhile, killing people becomes an end in itself, as under Stalin."

Well done Mr. O'Connell, accurate and fierce... bravo! ...Gonna to make toast now (seriously)

Don't forget Frank's record on Fannie and Freddie

Reminder for Massachusetts, thank you Barney Frank for the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac sub prime home bubble, loan market CRASH ... remember?! hattip Gateway Pundit: "For the record…
As reported earlier at Big Government, in May 2007 Barney Frank and the Democrat-controlled House passed GSE reform legislation. Legislation which was adamantly opposed by the Treasury Dept. and the Bush Administration for limiting federal oversight of Fannie and Freddie’s mortgage holdings. Legislation which included Frank’s pet project, an “affordable housing” fund backed by tax payers.

Let it also be noted that going into 2007 Fannie and Freddie had never in history been allowed to purchase or finance sub-prime mortgages. But under pressure from Democrats in Congress (including Frank), they were granted this authority by regulators in September 2007."

Gardening to relieve stress over elections

Tues AM and I'm off work enjoying a 4 day weekend... Went to Rogers Garden store Sat. AM and bought a few plants to spruce up the driveway garden in these pix...
The spiky looking plants are some type of hybrid. There are bright red buds waiting to open on the 2 Rhododendrons. Our soil has quite a bit of clay so hopefully these plants will be OK. Bought some spray fertilizer, too, so will spray the new plants to help them along...
Our driveway near the street is not paved so we have grey pebbles along it. Couldn't have a pebble driveway at our old house in northern Illinois... too much snow and shoveling in winter. There are quite a few driveways near us on almost 45 degree angles. A bit of snow in Auckland would be traffic mayhem - no way people could even get down their driveways if they ever got icy.
This little orange plant is quite pretty, semi-tropical type that can handle the semi-shade of the driveway. Our backyard rehab, a year long project, has just been newly replanted with grass so hopefully in a month or so, it will FINALLY be finished. It does look good though...
Its really nice to have gardens to putter around in and relieve daily stresses - like reading about upcoming USA Nov2 mid term elections. I can't do much about it from over here in NZ. I hope the conservative wave does create a decent sized TEAnami (as Rush coined) so new faces join congress to make better decisions and reverse the commie-marxist tide. Well, back to reading some news this morning... or maybe I'll shop for some new garden planters. <- That sounds more fun...!

Is there a cure for a Zombie?

Do you agree a barking dog and a zombie apocalypse are both annoying and in modern terminology, they both "suck"? Ok, yep, a neighbor's barking dog sucks ...

...but a zombie apocalypse sucks way waaaaay more.
zombies... or leftists?

OK, so that is the start of a great article today at Pajamas Media called "Republicans Kind of Suck … Which Is Why They Will Win Huge in November" by Frank Fleming
Why will Republicans win? "Because in the Democratic land of epic, mega, ultra, apocalyptic levels of sucking, those who kinda suck are king."
Mr. Fleming asks "Now let’s look at what led us to the political situation we’re in. During the second term of the Bush presidency people just got fed up with Republicans. They were idiots, they were no good at the whole fiscal conservatism thing (which is sort of the whole point of them), we had these wars that seemed to be going nowhere, and the economy was beginning to fail. They sucked, and people were sick and tired of them. Thus people turned to the Democrats. And Obama.
Let’s just say they also sucked."
Mr. Fleming explains clearly with the following exchange:
  • AMERICANS: “So, the economy is pretty bad and there’s high employment. You think you can do something about that?”
  • DEMOCRATS AND OBAMA: “We can spend a trillion dollars we don’t have on pork and stuff.”
  • AMERICANS: “No … that’s not what we want. We’d really like you not to do that.”
  • DEMOCRATS: “You’re stupid. We’re doing it anyway.”
  • AMERICANS: “That’s not going to help us get jobs!”
  • DEMOCRATS: “Sure it will; millions of them … though they may be invisible. You’ll have to trust us they exist. And guess what else we’ll do: We’ll create a giant new government program to take over health care.”
  • AMERICANS: “That has nothing to do with jobs!”
  • DEMOCRATS: “We don’t care about that anymore. We really want a giant new health care program. We’re sure you’ll love it.”
  • AMERICANS: “Don’t pass that bill. You hear me? Absolutely do not pass that bill.”
  • DEMOCRATS: “Believe me; you’ll love it. It has … well, I don’t know what exactly is in the bill, but we’re sure it’s great.”
  • AMERICANS: “Listen to me: DO. NOT. PASS. THAT. BILL.”
  • DEMOCRATS: “You’re not the boss of me! We’re doing it anyway!”
  • AMERICANS: “Look what you did! Now the economy is way worse, we’re even deeper in debt, and we have a bunch of new laws we don’t want!”
  • DEMOCRATS: “You’re racist.”
  • AMERICANS: “Wha … How is that racist?”
  • DEMOCRATS: “Now you’re getting violent! Stop being violent and racist, you ignorant hillbillies! And remember to vote Democrat in November.”

* * *

Go read the whole thing... so funny, but gets the point across! We need Rs to take over from Ds, but more importantly, liberal policies need to be killed and conservative principles need to be re-instituted in American government from top levels, across the board and down into education, school boards and families. That is the path to recovery America is on now... battle on... kill all zombies!

13 more days til Nov 2nd midterms-Cook Report

Same lame blame game

Bam-a-lam & his many loyal regimists continue to say "not my fault!" for any criticisms thrown their way. Hello, McFly, deny reality much?
Damnit it all... must be SOMEONE's fault TheWon's popularity keeps dropping... couldn't be the policies or anything like that... naaaaah

Tsk tsk tsk... do dem-commie-marxists point fingers at Republicans? Independents? Democrats? Opposition media? Bloggers? How about millions of ordinary or 'stupid' Americans who just 'don't understand' (per Joe Biden) the story, the PR, marketing... the narrative? ... hmmm

Check out a great explanation of WHO or WHAT is to "blame" for TheWon's spiral downward in a great article at the Weekly Standard called "Fault Lines - The president’s apologists look for scapegoats" by Noemie Emery. (AmericanThinker mentions it today, too.)

Tidbit:

"Perhaps the problem isn’t the lack of a narrative, but that the public has formed one already, and it seems to go something like this: A young community-organizer-cum-seminar-leader, having led a sheltered political life in deep blue America, is swept into office on the strength of a financial collapse weeks before the election plus the emotional need for a biracial redeemer. He misreads the country, the times, and his mandate, pushes through plans to turn the country into a social democracy at the exact moment that model is proving unworkable, governs in every way against the will of the people, and proves himself to be a bad politician, a coalition-destroyer, a fish out of water, and over his head. This simple line explains things much better than the convoluted tales that you (BHO and his loyal regimists) keep coming up with. But it’s the one thought you cannot abide. Now and then the strain gets to be too much and reality breaks through for a moment. Time’s Mark Halperin had an emperor’s-new-clothes moment last week (“the White House is .  .  . isolated, insular, arrogant and clueless about how to get along with or persuade members of Congress, the media, the business community or working-class voters”). But for the rest of you, Obama’s still your dream of a man, and you cannot deny him. Dreams, as they say, die hard."

WHAT!? You mean he's NOT the savior of the world just by reading words on a teleprompter?!
Welll... buuuut.... ummm... OK... but why do the pesky T.E.A. partiers keep on partying and growing (& even picked winning candidates in primaries!)? Ms. Emery continues:
"In their new book Mad as Hell, about the life and times of the Tea Party movement, pollsters Doug Schoen and Scott Rasmussen say that the feeling of being deliberately ignored and dismissed by the people in power is what fuels that movement.

In fact, the movement’s response to this assault on its character has been remarkably measured. Its members have expressed themselves calmly, in speech and writing. They assembled peaceably for redress of grievances. They backed candidates, campaigned for them, and accepted defeat with good grace when their members were beaten: It was the establishment “moderates” who behaved like bad sports. The charges of racism against them appear to be specious and planted by Democrats, and the rare instances of violence that have occurred in their ambit were visited on them by the president’s backers. Meanwhile, the 'president' has behaved as if he lived in an alternative universe, blocking out all available evidence that the entire country is not like Hyde Park."
Go read Ms. Emery's entire piece. Its worth it...
question: what type of person (or organization) does something 'bad' to another ... then blames someone else for the resulting unhappiness?

(pssst, its not MY fault either...)

Look at that blog, now back to me

LOL ... look at these clips, that site, that blog, now back to me...

Grandmother vs "most powerful" senator

In Nevada, if you haven't heard, Sharron Angle, grandmother, is challenging Harry Reid, the "most powerful" senator in Washington for his job.

Futrell at BigJournalism on the debate points out "The polls show the two neck and neck in this race. The Nevada media, of course, is beside itself. After the debate, one commentator asked why we would want to move from the #1 spot in political power in the Senate to #100. Many in the activist old media still do not get what this election is all about. We no longer want that sort of power structure in our nation. The supposed #1 spot in Washington, DC should be below the positions of Governors and even state representatives. This nation was designed with states holding the power, not bureaucrats in Washington, DC. I know it will take a long time for many to understand this concept, but I also know the media will be the last to figure out what is happening in this election. Besides, if Reid holds so much power in DC and says that it is his “job to create jobs,” then why is unemployment in Nevada the worst in the nation? Seems to me Reid is not doing his job and should be fired."

Comment Cents has the debate video.

Meet Uncle Sam, conservative

Another great column at AT by Kyle-Anne Shiver describing Left-Wing Radicals and the 2010 Conservative Growth Spurt:

"Last week, the big news out of polling country was Gallup's report on its 2010 likely voter profile. And the most delicious tidbit within the complicated demographic profile was that an astonishing 54% of all likely voters self-identify as conservative."

DID YOU HEAR THAT REST OF THE WORLD?
54% of all likely American voters self-identify as conservative

Ms. Shiver describes the leftist "ruling class" push to naysay the majority of America:

"over the last ten years, in its purely desperate attempt to save itself from the ash bin of history, the ruling class has gone all-out in every medium to shame and belittle the conservative brand.

... with all this ubiquitous bashing of conservative Americans as racists, homophobes, Islamophobes, xenophobes, Bible-thumpers, woman-haters -- oh, for crying out loud! This list could go on to lingual infinity. The end result -- 54% of likely voters willing to come out proudly as the dreaded, societally despised conservatives."

DID YOU HEAR THAT REST OF THE WORLD?
The hate and slime effort HAS NOT WORKED.

Why hasn't it worked? Probably because the "real" radicals on the left are now FULLY EXPOSED - due to America's ingenuity (internet!), capitalism (many homes have PCs now!), alternative news and media (yeah!) all provided by passionate entrepeneurs.

Ms. Shiver notes "the vast majority of genuine Americans have -- for the past two years -- gotten a real, up-close-and-personal look at the other side of the radical coin.

Socialist radicals -- Obama, Pelosi, and Reid -- have led the entire country through the economic ditch and into a raging river, headed straight for a Niagara-scale waterfall that ends with an inevitable crash into bankruptcy and utter ruin. Propping up one liberal dream scheme after another, rushing to the aid of morally bankrupt union bosses, taking over American companies, and shackling business with mountains of new regulations, the left-wing radicals have used our own money to run us into the ground.

That's part of the conservative growth-spurt story: seeing is believing. Apparently, it was never enough for Americans to glimpse the rotten economies of their sister-states across the big pond in western Europe. They had to see Democratic socialism wreak havoc here on our own shores to really understand our own left-wing radicals."

"The people are waking to the real threats posed by left-wing radicals. At the same time, they're beginning to understand that they've been propagandized to fear and hate conservative Americans on faulty premises. So we're mostly all radicals now, and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which radical side of the coin genuine Americans prefer. Tea, anyone?

Despite years and years and years of a media empire working in lockstep with left-wing radicals, tirelessly attacking the conservative American image, the public is self-identifying as conservative more than at any other time in recent history. And the number of those calling themselves moderates is shrinking with wild-eyed urgency.

This is America, stupid! And we don't want your economy-killing, free enterprise-hating, Constitution-spurning radicals bringing socialism to these shores."

Psychosis, evil or just bizarro

At AT, J.R. Dunn has written "The American Left Slides into Psychosis"

"Leftists really believed that Obama embodied their moment. Obama held all the cards -- majorities in both houses, a slavish press that viewed him as no less than a godling, an enthusiastic public, even an acquiescent international establishment, overlooking a few holdouts such as Kim and Ahmadinejad. No left-of-center president has had a smoother road before him -- not FDR, not Lyndon Johnson. Yet Obama's efforts amount to utter failure -- not because of opposition from the "party of no," not because of circumstances, not because of sabotage, but because of Obama's "success" itself. He got the bills passed, guaranteed that their execution would be in the hands of extraconstitutional figures beholden only to him, and got them funded by means both legal and illegal. All of it was put into play with a smoothness that only Chicago thuggery combined with socialist chicanery could accomplish. He launched them, and they crashed, and they burned.

They crashed and burned because they cannot work. Not in a universe with natural laws that operate the way they do and with human nature constituted as it is. They have never worked anywhere they have been tried -- not in Europe, not in Asia, not in Africa, nowhere across this wide world. Obama's grand schemes have been attempted previously. The failures were hurriedly stuffed down the memory hole, enabling the left to hope for another shot sometime down the line. (No small number of people in this country -- many of them not doctrinaire leftists by any means -- truly believe that FDR "ended" the Depression.)

But today they have a problem -- several, in point of fact. The first is that the memory hole has in large part been filled in over the past decade and a half by such things as the internet and the New Media. It's no longer a simple matter to shove nationwide failures out of sight. It may not even be possible.

The second is the fact that this time, they bet the house. They put everything down on Obama. Because it had to work. Because the third time was the charm. Because O was the messiah. And now they're sitting in the casino dead broke, without another dime to lay on the table, and through the doorway they can hear the shouts of the people whose money they embezzled.

This is why the left is being overwhelmed by psychosis. Because they are up against the wall with no way out.
Under such circumstances, the strong individual bites the bullet and runs for daylight. The weak fall apart. It's been a long, long time since anyone defined leftists as "strong." "

Is the left really suffering from psychosis? Could they just be evil? ... or perhaps leftists they simply live in an alternate reality like 'Bizarro World'?

Comment from "Xenos Oct 11, 12:22 PM"

"Mr. Dunn's piece reminds me of the old Superman Comic plot that involved Bizarro World. Bizarro World was exactly like Earth, except that every aspect of life there was Earth's moral opposite.

Everything good on Earth was repugnant on Bizarro World, and everything repugnant on Earth was normal and acceptable on Bizarro World.

Bizarro Superman was evil, and all of his actions were deliberately harmful.

Bizarro World represented a facile device through which its creators could pursue ideas about the nature of virtue and vice, and good and evil.

I am fairly certain that they did not intend to describe the mental state of the average Leftist. Nonethelesss, I think that they stumbled onto a fundamental explanation of the Left-wing worldview. As a result of what may be a genetic predispositon, true-believing Leftists have several striking characteristics:

1. Their notion of the nature of things is fixed very early.
2. They do not alter their notions based on experience, but force experience to conform to their preconceived notions.
3. These preconceived notions form the interpretational lense that allows them to create a smug, insulated intellectual cocoon.
4. When their cocoon is threatened by the cold, unforgiving hand of experience, Leftists lash out emotionally, as if the threat was to their physical existence.

bizarro code

  • Conservatives and Leftists cannot communicate with each other because they are living on two different intellectual worlds.
  • Conservatives live on Earth. Leftists live on Bizarro World.
  • Conservatives wish to refine WHAT IS. Leftists wish to destroy WHAT IS and replace it with THAT WHICH SHOULD BE.
  • Conservatives are concerned with truth. Leftists are unconcerned with truth - truth is a hindrance to their utopian vision.
  • Conservatives care about outcomes. Leftists care about intent.
  • Conservatives desire equality. Leftists desire fairness.
  • Conservatives believe in the sovereignty of the individual. Leftists believe that the individual should be subservient to Great Ideas.

There are many more, but limited space prohibits further exposition. Suffice it to say that I believe Mr. Dunn to be incorrect. The Left is not sliding into psychosis. The Left is simply being its typical Bizarro self."

I think Xenos is on to something...

Rush: Big Government vs. Big Business

From Rush: "Big Tobacco makes you smoke in restaurants. Not exactly, Big Government forbids it. Big Government forbids you smoking most everywhere.

Big Automobile forces you to wear seat belts when you drive. Big Auto forces you to not use your cell phone. Uh, no, Big Government is doing that.

Big H&R Block, they insist that you fill out tax forms you can't even understand. Uh, sorry, that's not Big H&R Block. That's Big IRS.

Big Pharmaceutical, Big HMOs, they're creating rules and regulations that are spiraling health care costs outta sight. Those evil insurance companies and hospitals and doctors are costing you an arm and a leg instead of fixing it. Uh, wrong. Big Government is causing all these regulations and price increases.

Big Bicycle is forcing your kids to wear plastic helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads as they sell you their bikes. No, Big Government is forcing all of that on you.

So while they warn you about the power of Big Business and all the stuff they're making you do, you really live under the rule of Big Government. That's where you're losing your freedom; that's who's ripping you off; that's who is screwing you, not Big Business."

About the "hate filled rhetoric", huh?

Protest signs: right v left
Can you tell which is which?
This post is for a Mr. "Canterbury Atheist" who likes to fling leftist mud and dribble over at Trevor's awesome NewZeal site.
Take a look at the SIGNS above (2 examples) and at Heretics Crusade. Compare calm, yet quite angry and determined T.E.A. party rallies versus the venomous want-to-burn stuff and kill(!?) Bush leftist protestors.
Can you tell WHICH group's signs have the actual "hate filled rhetoric"? (ooops, guess what, if its not obvious, you are a victim of leftist brain washing: seek help!)

Darryl Issa will be VERY busy 2011-2012

California congressional representative Darrell Issa is going to be very busy 2011-2012 investigating corruption by current W.House regimists.

"The (Republican) Ranking Member of the Oversight & Government Reform Committee, Congressman Darrell Issa leads his fellow Republicans on the Committee and directs the investigative agenda of the Committee's minority oversight staff. Rep. Issa also serves on the House Judiciary Committee."

Oh, this list might help: 1,676 (and counting!!) Broken Promises, Lies, Flip-Flops & Scandals from Conservative American.org

#1,676 is: Obama's Made-Up Claim of 'GOP Using Foreign Money' is a Flip-Flop! He took Foreign Credit Cards during His Own 2008 Campaign!

"10/10/2010 Power Line Blog reports, "...Glenn Reynolds comments that Obama's "foreign money" claims are bogus. He adds: "They're also pretty rich, considering how his 2008 campaign handled foreign credit cards." Glenn revisits the foreign money Obama took in via credit cards with links to contemporaneous news reports. He then observes: "You know, I'd kind of forgotten this scandal until Obama brought this stuff up. It didn't get much attention then, but it may get more this time around..."

Michelle Malkin reminds us:
  • Remember Obama/Hillary/Democrat top fund-raiser and convicted fraudster/campaign finance crook Norman Hsu.
  • Remember Obama/Hillary/Democrat top fund-raiser and convicted fraudster/campaign finance crook Hasan Nemazee.
  • Remember soft-on-China Obama Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, shady Buddhist temple cash collector.
  • Remember Senate Democrats raising funds in Canada.
  • Remember Obama’s presidential campaign soliciting foreign donations on its website (via Doug Ross):

Hey, McSpendyPants: your whining (about the U.S. Chamber of Commerce) reminded us all about the continued corruption and puppeteering by Soros funded organizations (from AT) and NiceDeb discusses how this is backfiring on TheWon...
Michelle M notes Bambam himself is now "backpedaling faster than high-wire clowns on a quadricycle" from the 'daily caller'... mmm mmm mmmmm... a Daily caller commentator remembers: "Obama took in more illegal campaign money than anyone in the history of the US presidency. And what did the mainstream media say about it? Nothing. Obama was too black to fail and that fact was far more important than any illegalities, shady past connections, radical current friends, and worst, the total lack of skills, qualifications, and experience for such a big job.
The media put our nation at risk to make a PC point. WE WILL ALL pay the price for such foolishness and immaturity on their behalf. Now, the pendulum will swing the other way and many, many democrats are going to be swept out to the political wilderness. And who will they blame? Obama? The media? Nope. The elitist arrogant snobs who run the democrat party and who infest our universities and mainstream media organs will blame… you guessed it… THE PEOPLE."
In Jan 2011? Better get busy Mr. Issa...

NZ govt owned NIWA "Temperature Record" not official?

Update from the NZ Climate Science Coalition:
"In response to many requests, we post the Statement of Claim by the New Zealand Climate Science Education Trust (NZCSET) and the Statement of Defence by the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) in the matter of the Court action about New Zealand's temperature records."
From NIWA's defence document, NIWA says:
"has maintained the National Climate Database (“Database”) since 1992;
The Database comprises climate information, including temperature, rainfall, wind, and other climate parameters;
There are 238 stations currently recording data for the Database;
There is no statutory duty requiring the Defendant to create and maintain the Database"

NIWA says:
"There is no "official" or formal New Zealand Temperature Record;
(NIWA's) website contains a page titled New Zealand temperature record (“NZTR”), being an informal description for a collection of different streams of climate information"
Their website page (see above) with "New Zealand Temperature Record" sure LOOKS official, doesn't it?
Climate Conversation Group site discusses the defence statement and points out doesn't this lack of officialness betray NIWA's supporters?

"Forget their defensive posturing since our paper criticising it last November – now they’ve given that up and say the NZTR isn’t their problem, they’re not responsible for maintaining it and apparently there’s no such thing as an “official” New Zealand Temperature Record anyway.

Will the MSM pick this up? I think they should, but I rather doubt they will.

If I was a long-term NIWA supporter, I’d be a bit miffed to hear this revelation. I’d think that NIWA had betrayed us. We’d been supporting them for months and months against scurrilous attacks on their reputation, arguing that they had good reasons for doing what they did, then they turn around and say the temperature graph is nothing to do with them!"
Time will tell what to make of this down here in NZ, eh... in the mean time, the NZ Herald and the NZ government still push man-made global warming propaganda as "fact".
The NZ people are just wee sheep - or mushrooms - being kept in the dark and only providing shite for sustenance. The NZ gubmit will just do what the UN says and keep growing more sheep... err... people fed on warmist propaganda. Amazing...
Article at Quadrant from May explains why NIWA's "not official" defence is shocking:

Crisis in New Zealand climatology - by Barry Brill May 15, 2010 ("Hon Barry Brill OBE is a New Zealand barrister and solicitor. He is a former Minister of Science & Technology, and Minister of Energy, and is currently chairman of the New Zealand Climate Science Coalition.")

The warming that wasn't

"The 'official archivist' of New Zealand’s climate records, the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA), offers top billing to its 147-year-old national mean temperature series (the “NIWA Seven-station Series” or NSS). This series shows that New Zealand experienced a twentieth-century warming trend of 0.92°C.

The official temperature record is wrong. The instrumental raw data correctly show that New Zealand average temperatures have remained remarkably steady at 12.6°C +/- 0.5°C for a century and a half. NIWA’s doctoring of that data is indefensible.

The NSS is the outcome of a subjective data series produced by a single Government scientist, whose work has never been peer-reviewed or subjected to proper quality checking. It was smuggled into the official archive without any formal process. It is undocumented and sans metadata, and it could not be defended in any court of law. Yet the full line-up of NIWA climate scientists has gone to extraordinary lengths to support this falsified warming and to fiercely attack its critics.

For nearly 15 years, the 20th-century warming trend of 0.92°C derived from the NSS has been at the centre of NIWA official advice to all tiers of New Zealand Government – Central, Regional and Local. It informs the NIWA climate model. It is used in sworn expert testimony in Environment Court hearings. Its dramatic graph graces the front page of NIWA’s printed brochures and its website.

Internationally, the NSS 0.92°C trend is a foundation stone for the Australia-New Zealand Chapter in the IPCC’s Third and Fourth Assessment Reports. In 1994, it was submitted to HadleyCRUT, so as to influence the vast expanses of the South Pacific in the calculation of globally-averaged temperatures.

The Minister of Research Science and Technology, the Hon Dr Wayne Mapp, has finally become alarmed at the murky provenance of the NSS. The Government has directed and funded a 6-month project to produce a new national temperature record, with published data and transparent processes. The replacement record is to be the subject of a scientific paper, which is to be peer-reviewed by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.

Hon Rodney Hide, a climate sceptic who is a Minister in the current Government and leader of the junior coalition partner, the ACT Party, has called upon his ministerial colleagues to formally repudiate the NSS and to withdraw all publications and formal papers which are based on the spurious warming trend of 0.92°C. The Government has not yet responded to this challenge.

New Zealand is a small country, with a strong tradition of open Government, and is not an easy place to keep secrets. The acceptance of the NSS for so long offers evidence of the dictum: “you can fool all of the people some of the time..” But if that can happen in New Zealand, how much greater is the probability that similar shenanigans could be happening in larger, more complex, jurisdictions? "
Indeed.
Globalists, UN and chronies, Al Gore-acle, government grant paid "scientists", carbon traders and many others are doing their damndest to keep their lies hidden and everyone fooled.

Gridlock will be a good thing

Road in Bolivia - or America's path back to fiscal sanity?

The push by the elitist bunch in Washington since a leftist majority congress took control in 2007 and installed a marxist-socialist ruler Jan 2009 has been taking America for a ride: 100 mph down a steep and dangerous hill.
Imagine America's economy is a big bus driving down a steep, winding road full of dangerous areas where plummeting off means death. Slowing down to a crawl is probably the best course of action.

Americans will have to patient. Slowing and stopping the speeding leftist bus will take time.

BHO "warns agenda will go backwards with House GOP win" ... Hilarious! He and the leftists lie and ignore reality: poll after poll, T.E.A. party after T.E.A. party, rally after rally shows the MAJORITY of America wants this regime stopped. America wants the health care monstrosity repealed or defunded. America is rejecting the 100mph-down-a-cliff push for marxist-socialist tranformation...

Slowing down the leftist agenda to the point of gridlock?! AWESOME! Not everything is a crisis needing government intervention: America is on to the Cloward-Piven strategy and Alinsky tactics. We reject that crap.

Watch OUT for voter fraud Nov 2, 2010!

From Rush Limbaugh "Well, if it makes you feel any better, the ranking Republican to whom I spoke today, I brought up that '95 budget battle, and I said, "They're gonna do it to you again. They're gonna let you exhibit the fiscal responsibility that they know has to happen, they're gonna blame you for it, they're gonna accuse you of starving kids with a school lunch cut and Social Security." I said, "You better have a plan better than you had in '95 dealing with it." The plan in '95 was nobody's going to believe this, who's gonna believe we want to starve kids? Well, by the time they had kids in New Orleans writing letters saying, "I'm starving, why won't you let me eat lunch," and so forth, look, they get it, they get it. And I think they're gonna surprise you, especially if this victory's as huge as it is. They know that it's not going to be this Pledge that's attracting the votes. It's helpful, but be confident. I am. This is just the first step of many of these steps that's going to have to happen. One election, and after this election's won, it's gonna get hard. The other side is just not gonna go away. They're not gonna say, "Oh, God, the country doesn't love us anymore, please forgive us." They're gonna ratchet it up. Always happens. Be ready. Be prepped. "

"Let me try to put this in perspective. Rolling back, not just Obama, but the Democrats of the last 50 years, folks, rolling this back is gonna take a long time, a lot of hard work, and it's going to be intense. It's going to be the intensity of football with a 162-game schedule instead of 16. That's how intense this is going to be. People take it seriously. So this is step one in November. It'll happen."

From Ned Ryun at RedState: "The 2010 primary season was, for the most part, a good one for limited government, freedom-loving conservatives. Most of the high profile challenges against the incumbent or establishment candidates, with Mike Lee, Ken Buck, Joe Miller, and Sharron Angle ended with the grassroots candidate winning. The American people clearly demonstrated that they are tired of long time incumbents, the ruling class, ignoring the will of the people and growing government spending and the role of government in people’s lives.

But we need to put things into perspective: the 2010 primary season must be seen as simply the opening salvo in the American people’s war against statism. It is the first battle in many to come in the war over whether the American people, or the ruling class, will control the American system of government."

Yep... I'm in it for the long haul... are you? Time to slow down the bus of leftist destruction...to a crawl.

Its SO the economy stupid

Couple good columns at RealClearPolitics

Congress Can't Repeal Economics - By John Stossel

"It's raining! I don't like it! Why hasn't Congress passed the Good Weather Act and the Everybody Happy Act?

Sound dumb?

Why is it any dumber than a law called the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which promised to cover more for less money?"

Taxing the Rich - By John Stossel

"Progressives want to raise taxes on individuals who make more than $200,000 a year because they say it's wrong for the rich to be "given" more money. Sunday's New York Times carries a cartoon showing Uncle Sam handing money to a fat cat. They just don't get it.

As I've said before, a tax cut is not a handout. It simply means government steals less.
What progressives want to do is take money from some -- by force -- and spend it on others. It sounds less noble when plainly stated.

That's the moral side of the matter. There's a practical side, too. Taxes discourage wealth creation. That hurts everyone, the lower end of the income scale most of all. An economy that, through freedom, encourages the production of wealth raises the living standards of lower-income people as well as everyone else.

A free society is not a zero-sum game in which every gain is offset by someone's loss. As long as government keeps its thumb off the scales, the "makers" who get rich do so by making others better off. (When the government allocates capital or creates barriers to competition, all bets are off.)"

ObamaCare & the Costs of the Welfare State - By Charles Kesler

"But even as American government has lurched to the left in the past year and a half, American politics has shifted to the right. Instead of New Deal-style acclamation, Obama's orgy of state-building has been greeted by an entirely new grassroots conservative movement, the tea party, as well as a firming and inspiriting of right-wing opinion across the board. Gallup reports that 42% of Americans now consider themselves conservative, an all-time high, and only 20% call themselves liberal-margin of more than two to one. Independent voters are fleeing Obama in droves. His party will almost certainly suffer severe losses in 2010, not only in congressional seats but also in governorships and state legislative houses.

With the long-term momentum of American government and at least the short-term momentum of American politics pulling so strongly, so suddenly in opposite directions, something is bound to give. Either government will yield, or the people will."
